Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good hotel, good location on the promenade. Staff are friendly. Would recommend for a short stay, especially if staying for business. Breakfast is usually buffet but on my visit this wasn’t available . Only downside of the area is that there’s no local shops that stay open past 18:00 while I was here.

Lovely hotel, ideally placed for the city centre, Villa Marina, Gaiety Theatre, horse drawn tram and the electric railway. We stayed in a 4th floor room overlooking the Broadway with a partial view of the sea and could see the coming & goings in the Ferry Port. It was spacious and had everything we could need. Toiletries, hairdryer, safe, iron & ironing board, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and a fridge as well as a charging port and more electric sockets than I have ever come across. The breakfast was a lovely cooked buffet, along with continental, cereals, juice, yoghurts, fruit. We only had 1 evening meal, but it was lovely and the chef changed the rice for potatoes & veg for me. Gorgeous desserts. Staff were all pleasant but we especially liked the housekeeper and exchanged a few words with her every day on our way to or from breakfast. If we were to travel to the IOM again, we would definitely stay at the Mannin.....just hope for better weather :)

First ever trip to the island, which proved to be a satisfactory experience for a short break. The hotel was comfortable, well appointed and the staff friendly and willing to help. Would have awarded an extra star if the restaurant was better organised (particularly at breakfast, where it is mainly self service and the used crockery was allowed to build up on the tables. We also found that the standard of food on the evening menu varied quite considerably.

2nd visit to this hotel. All staff friendly and professional. We stayed in room 104 atrium with kitchenette. Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable. We overlooked dining room and reception. Any noise at bedtime was not a problem as we use a noise machine. Pleasant to sit out on balcony eating a meal prepared in kitchen with use of microwave. Saves money rather than eating out for each meal! Will be visiting again!

Staying regularly in the Manin whilst on business. Generally well looked after, I am GF so they have a couple of food options for me albeit they don't always have bread. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need and a queen size bed plus air conditioning. Atrium rooms are recommended if you fancy a chill out on the balcony.

We visited this hotel has a couple the first week of August 2023. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The hotel does not look much from the outside, but do not let that fool you! Once you step inside it is lovely and modern. Our room had a sea view and was just so relaxed there. We had noise at all. We slept well and the bed was comfortable. The place it's self was absolutely spotless with everything you needed! The staff were always happy to help. The couple of ladies we dealt with on reception were very helpful and polite. One last behind the reception even took her time to write me a list of points of interest and how-to get there too! This was much appreciated. Sadly I didnt get her name! Mark checked us in when we arrived about 10.30pm and was very polite and was more than happy to serve us at the bar as we were ready for a drink. He was a book of knowledge about the hotel and the island itself. He knew all you asked him! So helpful and friendly. He even recommended a Chinese restaurant and booked it for us one evening for a meal! Manninn you certainly did not disappoint. I would gladly stay here again. Well-done to the owner and the staff here. 5⭐x

Great location beside the promenade and only a short walk from the centre, with great transport links from outside the door - including the horse-drawn tram terminus, and a small park across the road. The basement car park is very convenient - although the entrance to it is very narrow to navigate. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. The cooked to order food was good, but the buffet food was very average and the tea making facilities were poor. I would go back for the location but would like to see the breakfast improved.

Amazingly welcoming hotel. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the island. Gorgeous room looking over the sea. Fabulous breakfast too. Booked again for next years rest and recuperation. So clean and room refreshed daily if you wanted Quiet even though our lovely room fronted the Broadway Went to Gaiety Theatre whilst there to see The Full Monty…… just amazing and way off London prices
