Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for 2 nights with other friends. We stayed in a huge room ( room 2 ) This was a room with an excellent sea view with a window seat. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was just what the Doctor ordered. Paul & Lisa were excellent hosts & we have already booked for next July.

Property's Favourite Review
Stayed a Cubbon House in mid-July while over for the Southern 100 GOOD POINTS Good location – walking distance from ferry terminus and the town centre shops are just round the back of the hotel. Owners are fantastic very nice people. Excellent breakfast. The twin room we had was a good size with a good sized shower room with complimentary shampoo etc. all clean and tidy and with a sea view. All the usual extras in the room , tea & coffee station , bottle water, hair dryer , TV and even a small fridge Ironing board and iron available on every landing. Housekeeping excellent – beds made every day, tea / coffee replaced etc and all communal areas clean ant tidy. No bad points just a couple of observations – as with nearly all B+B / Hotels on the Isle of Man they are several stories high not many have lifts or air con . Area Allot of re-development is going on all along the prom some finished some still under construction. Would I stay here again yes without hesitation?

We stayed at this hotel for a week & chose it because of the reviews & Iam really glad we did. It is in an excellent position on the sea front just a short walk from the ferry terminal & there is a bus stop almost opposite. Our room was clean & comfortable and the beds were made daily & the tea, coffee & delicious biscuits replenished. The owners were very friendly and helpful and even allowed us to leave our bags until nearer the time the ferry left. The breakfast was plentiful & delicious served in a room with a sea view. The only slight negative was the large number of stairs up to our top floor room but we managed them even though we're passed retirement!! Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

We visited here for three nights after having to cancel in 2020 because of covid. The B and B is very nice and Lisa and Paul were so friendly and looked after us so well. The B and B is located on the promenade and you can get to the airport in 25 minutes by bus and the stop is right outside the property. It’s also walkable from the ferry terminal. Our room was a sea view twin and was really comfortable and had everything we needed. It was cleaned every day we were there. The breakfast was also really good quality and cooked to order. Cereal and other options were available. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance. We highly recommend this B and B and would stay here again when on the Isle of Man.

Room Tip: The B and B provide a parking disk for parking. You also have to reverse in or you may get a fine.

We had to make a last minute trip to the Isle of Man and fortunately booked into Cubbon House. The owners Lisa & Paul couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was delightful with lovely views all along the beach front. We had a great nights sleep and a delicious cooked breakfast each morning. The hotel was immaculate. I would highly recommend Cubbon House.

I'll happily add my "5" rating to the list. Nice room (with a view of the bay), pleasant hosts, excellent breakfasts. But on top of all this, Lisa made an effort to save me a few pounds. I originally reserved the room for two people, but my friend couldn't make it. Lisa changed my rate to the single rate, even though she had to contact Booking.com and wait on hold to achieve this. Much appreciated. I would call it going above and beyond.
