The staff are professional and friendly. The rooms are spotless, warm and a decent size. The breakfast is superb. The price is modest for this standard of hotel. Overlooking the bay and half a mile from the centre of Douglas, this hotel is of very good quality and value.

I go to the IoM every year for the Festival of Darts so I always book a hotel close to the venue. The Empress is a nice hotel. Rooms are a bit small, but I travel alone so that's okay. The Irish lady at the reception was awesome. Breakfast was okay too. Not a lot of variety.

Dear IQ170 Thanks for your recent review. We have just completed the refurbishment of all of the bedrooms and the Piano Bar, Lounge and Brasserie Restaurant to offer some of the best surroundings on the Island to relax and enjoy a meal or drink. Our ground floor breakfast room will hopefully be the next place we carry out an upgrade on at the end of this year, along with all bedroom corridoors and carpets to be replaced to complete the entire building upgrade over the last couple of winters. I hope that you can return next year to see the final part of our investment in the property and the improvement that will bring. Regards Neil Gray Business Manager

Dear lescooper22 Thanks for your great 5 star review following your recent stay. All of our bedrooms have now been fully refurbished and offer new televisions with the majority having 40-48 inch LED TV's and just a few smaller single rooms with 32" TV's. I am sure next time you stay, you can upgrade easily to either classic double rooms or seaview rooms to benefit from the larger television size and a more spacious bedroom. It's nice to hear the Piano Bar food was also enjoyed and good value, and I look forward to seeing you again next time. Regards Neil Gray Business Manager

Stayed here for 1 night. Room was clean & freshly decorated. A bit small, but it had a bed & a powerful shower, which is pretty much all I needed. I stayed in a room that had a view of another roof, so not great. Free wi-fi & decent breakfast. It’s about a 15 min walk along the

Dear RichardR458 Thanks for your feedback following your recent stay. All of the hotel bedrooms are a slightly different size and all of the seaview facing rooms are certainly larger, but there is a good selection of classic rooms too, to suit the needs of leisure and business guests alike. We also provide a very fast fibre WiFi connection throughout the Hotel and with our refurbished Piano Bar, Lounge and Conservatory provide a great place to relax over a meal or drink each day. I hope you are able to stay again and thank you for your comments. Regards Neil Gray Business Manager
