We recently moved to the Isle of Man and needed a temporary place to stay while the purchase of our new home went through. The Caledonia is a suitable place to stay with a homely feel and friendly staff. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean with a brilliant shower en suite. The owner was very friendly and...

Booked last minute visiting family, booked two rooms, got a good deal without food which was ok with us. rooms were clean but dated, we didn't book 4 or 5 star so was happy with what we got. There is a take away down stairs, we had a high floor so noise and food odour was not a problem

Clean and comfortable, but small room. Hotel in need of refurbishment, particularly carpets. Did not use Chinese restaurant as menu board outside was difficult to read, full of condensation and not cleaned recently although local resident did say later that it was good.

We chose this hotel as it was dog friendly & within our price range. Booked 2 rooms - twin (room 18) & later a single (room 20). Both comfortable & clean. Room 20 was the larger with a bath, 18 smaller with a very powerful shower, although lacking a suitable mirror/powerplug/light conveniently situated to style hair (hopefully this will be...

Good value, friendly hotel, noticeably very clean. Old quirky Victorian building, as are many of the Douglas seafront hotels . Upgrade to sea facing room highly recommended. Well situated on Douglas Promenade with views over the bay. Free WIFI. Excellent Chinese restaurant. Would stay there again without hesitation, very good budget hotel, you have everything you need without unnecessary frills.

Stayed here for 10 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! This was our 19th stay at the Caledonia and will certainly NOT be our last! The entrance hall is beautiful complete with the original tiled flooring. A welcoming and friendly space. The hotel décor is clean and tidy. The rooms are very clean and the furniture is certainly NOT...

The Caledonia, or At Caledonia as it now calls itself, is one of the best guest houses that I have stayed at (four times now). Right on the sea front it is a great location. The horse tramway passes outside and the electric tramway is a short walk away. An old style building but well decorated and furnished. Clean. Comfortable....

A warm welcome greets you to comfortable no frills accommodation, the rooms offer all the facilities you could want at very reasonable prices. The food at breakfast is of excellent quality and although the portions may appear on the small side there is a virtually endless supply on request. The dining room doubles as a Chinese restaurant in the evening...
