A fantastic B&B- cannot recommend highly enough! Clean, very comfortable rooms and an amazing breakfast! Kevin and Gillian were fantastic hosts and provided an excellent and friendly service. Thank you for making our stay so brilliant!
We needed a hotel whilst we attended a funeral on the IOM in December 2020.The staff at the hotel were amazing and couldn't do enough to help us.The food was amazing and the rooms were very clean and always so comfortable .I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and will stay here again if I get the chance to visit the IOM .Thank you to Gillian and Kevin for all that they did for us and for the excellent hospitality overall . Good luck with the rest of the year and we hope you all keep well All the best Ange,David and Jack.
First & foremost a big thank you to Terrence & Piper for their welcome and looking after us during our stay, just a lovely friendly couple. Nothing was too much detail and we enjoyed our chats in the trendy bar they've designed. Terrence & Piper clearly have a flare for design, the place is so stylish wherever you go, be it the rooms, the Drawing Room where breakfast is served or the zany bar. Even the hallways & stairs have great character. Breakfast is not a quick first meal of the day, it's an occasion - the tables are beautifully laid out, crisp white cloths, china crockery & lovely cutlery. The food is superb, freshly cooked (have what you want really) - pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurts .... No better way to start a day in Devon. Oh, very Covid aware, I must say - they've designed it all into the experience. Terrence & Piper really did make us feel like guests in their house, not hotel residents. We really couldn't fault any aspect, and wish them all the very best in their exciting venture.…
We booked 3 rooms at The Devonian which were all spotlessly clean. Our double room was comfy & had a sea view. Our teenagers room was next door although there is a family room available for those with smaller children.Granny & Grandad were given a lower floor room as there are a lot of stairs.Granny & Grandads room had a heating problem which was fixed straight away even though the owners are in the process of upgrading & were busy. Breakfast was amazing hubby & I tried most things on it all wonderfully cooked. My fussy teenagers had plenty of choice & the older generation chose a combination of what they would like off the menu with no fuss at all Our one major problem was parking on the first night as it's on street parking,it took us ages to find a space but after that we found a space easy enough Nothing was too much trouble from our hosts Gillian & Kevin even though they were working in limited kitchen conditions.I would recommend staying here & hopefully will be back…
A very clean and well maintained establishment. Bedroom (single) was quite spacious with a good en-suite including a shower. Good food with plenty of choices on offer from the menu. Situated in a prime area not far off the promenade, close to the shopping centre and within walking distance of all forms of public transport. We were treated well by Kevin and his team, they couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely return there.
