Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing weekend in Peel staying at The Albany House B&B. Beautiful room, luxury ensuite, Manx heritage everywhere! Hospitality amazing, nothing was too much trouble, home cooked breakfasts made to order. We have already recommended to several friends on and off the island.

Property's Favourite Review
Having once had an unpleasant stay in a poor b+b it was with some trepidation that I booked the Albany. What a very pleasant surprise we all had. From it’s beautiful flower filled front entrance to its well appointed guest rooms this b+b is a delight. Our room contained everything you could possibly want, including a welcome selection of biscuits. Our big double bed was comfortable and with the advantage of blackout blinds and lined curtains I slept far better than I usually do when on holiday. The Albany is run by a lovely couple who are available to give advice on the locality and prepare a delicious and ample breakfast. I may be a b+b convert!

Nikki and Nigel are wonderful hosts, so welcoming and helpful. They both go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Our room was extremely comfortable, clean and homely with everything in it that you could want. There was a huge choice of food to choose from, if you opt for a cooked breakfast it will be cooked to perfection 👌 and there is always a choice of fresh fruit, cereal and contintental options. We were there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, Nikki and Nigel didn’t know until the day before but she bought us a gift which will always remind us of our stay. 😄 Of course we have to mention the two lovely Shelties, so well behaved. Thank you both xx

We had such a lovely stay here. Nikki and Nigel go above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible. The room was gorgeous and literally had everything and more that you might need whilst being away from home. Such beautiful touches that were incredibly thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and we all sat around a large table and spent nearly 2 hours sitting and chatting with them. They didn’t feel like hosts they felt like friends and I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such amazing hospitatility anywhere else I’ve ever stayed. Their gorgeous pooches Freddie and Maye were so well behaved and certainly an added bonus to our stay. So to sum up beautiful clean comfy rooms amazing breakfast and fabulous hosts. Wished we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you to you both oh and the chocolates you gave us when we left were absolutely gorgeous. Hope to see you both soon love Katie and Kev xx

Friendly welcome from start to finish of our 6 night stay with Nikki and Nigel. Extremely well equipped room with many extras that you may have forgotten to bring. Comfortable bed ensures a good night's sleep. Breakfasts were varied and enjoyable, catering to individual tastes. Our first visit to Isle of Man and we will return as still plenty to see and do. Excellent museums, many places of interest and lots of trains to explore. Thank you Nikki and Nigel for making us welcome in your lovely home and looking after us so well. Mark and Fiona

Albany House is an excellent B&B situated in the attractive, small, town of Peel. Nikki and Nigel were most helpful hosts and provided us with all the advice we needed on places to visit, restaurants and travel etc. We stayed in the Fraser Room which was large, comfortable and well maintained. Breakfasts were good and we were very pleased to have spent a week at Albany House. P&P.

We had an excellent 5 star stay at Albany House. Nikki and Nigel were so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and they attended to our every need. Their 2 shelties Freddy and Maye were an absolute delight to have around. The breakfasts were to die for with so much choice. Nikki goes out of her way to supply good local produce of a very high standard. It was great sitting round one big table and having a lovely chat with the other guests and Nikki and Nigel's knowledge of the island is impressive. So much better than sitting on separate tables in your own family groups and not chatting to anyone else. We had slips to fill out for our breakfast requirements the night before, which I think is perfect, as everything was ready for us. Albany House is a short walk into town or to the prom and there is a bus stop round the corner. If you come in a car there is reserved parking across the road. We have already booked for next year and I can't wait to see Freddy and Maye again. Thanks Nikki and Nigel!

From the moment we arrived, Nikki & Nigel couldn't do enough for us. They treated as valued guests and went out of their way to make our stay in Peel as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They offered valuable local knowledge on where to eat, how to get around and what to do. If we are ever back in the Isle of Man, we are coming back!
