Honestly, this place is fabulous. A very last minute trip, Rebecca was so helpful. Was placed in a fabulous double room, super comfortable bed, gorgeous decor, quiet as at the back of the property. Another visit to Whitley Bay. Ergo another visit (number six) to Sandsides. So how is a sixth visit different to a first? Well it’s not……. As I’ve suggested in previous reviews after previous visits, the warmth of Rebecca’s greeting and the charm of the property combine to guarantee that from the first moment of your first visit to the final moment of your latest visit you feel welcome and relaxed. Actually, there is a difference…. After your first visit, when you sit down for breakfast your stomach and your heart will give a simultaneous little jump for joy, because they already know what deliciousness is coming. We always look forward to our visits. We’re always sad to leave, but there’s always the next visit to look forward to ❤️

Excellent Guest House. Everything was as it should be. Rebecca was very helpful with local information and breakfast could not have been better. Room was spacious. We are regular visitors to the North East and, from now on, Sandsides will be our first choice.

My bridal party and I booked Sandsides for the evening before and morning of my wedding at Spanish City. We had other family members, the hair dresser and make up artist arriving on the morning and Rebecca was wonderful, so accommodating and helpful, with great communication before our stay and during, making the morning of my wedding a really lovely experience. The house was lovely to stay in, we occupied the family room and everyone commented on how pretty it was. The breakfast was also delicious. 100% recommend this accommodation.

I’ve never stayed at Sandsides but I do live local to it. I want to use this review as an opportunity to let you know about an act of kindness and how grateful we are to the owner for taking time out of her busy to help us look for our missing cat. This person obviously loves animals and is a compassionate and kind person. She had no reason to help us but she did - lending us cat treats, searching the park opposite Sandsides, and offering to keep an eye open as she runs her guest house. So if if you’re considering staying at Sandsides ask yourself the question; if the owner is prepared to go above and beyond to help strangers find their cat what service would she provide her guests? A first class one is the answer! The next time I have friends or family visiting and needing accommodation I will be recommending Sandsides Guest House. Thank you.…

A really first class, wonderful guest house. From the warm welcome to the most comfortable quiet room and the tasty breakfast, everything about our 3 night stay was superb. The position of Sandsides / just a step away from the famous Spanish City and a ten minute walk to the Metro was unbeatable. You can tell how much we enjoyed our stay.

We found the hosts super friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delish. We will definitely go back. Sandsides is very close to the bay and everything you could need to access in Whitley Bay.

Sandsides Guest House is just amazing. The welcome is so warm, the house is superbly decorated, sparklingly clean and comfortable and the location is just right. The added sparkle to the tea and coffee is the fresh milk and the biscuits made by Rebecca's daughter. And the choice of food at breakfast time is exquisite. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Magical!

Wished we could have stayed longer, Lovely coastal themed rooms, comfy beds and fabulous breakfast with lots of choice, cute little handmade biscuits in the room and fresh milk on the well stocked beverage tray, very close to the beach front and to some great eating places, hosts Rebecca and her mum Carol are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would we book again ?? Absolutely we would 🥰
