We booked 3 rooms for a family trip to the Isle of Wight. The money was taken from our card for 2 rooms, a week before. My sister had booked separately and her card had expired. She got an email to tell her that the room had been cancelled. She called them, half an hour after receiving the email, to...

I recently stayed at the Chester Lodge Hotel in Sandown Isle Of Wight. The room was a single room, bed was clean, but room needs updating and cleaning better. Breakfast was 8.30, but if not down by 9 you could not get breakfast. There was only a cooked breakfast on offer, the same choices of cooked each day. There was...

Nice comfortable hotel, bit dated but ideal for a one or two night stay. Brian was really great & not only friendly but very funny too. The shower although in need of modernisation was powerful enough & nice & hot. The breakfasts were fine & cooked as we waited not like some places where it is precooked & warmed up....

Location is superb, 10 mins from Train station, on the top of High Street. Room was basic, but clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing extraordinary. Wi-fi was superb. The only thing that needs improvement was bathroom - it was really outdated, water pressure was non-existant, and it was mouldy.

Stayed at this Guest House for 3 nights whilst visiting the Island on business. The room (Number 1 Ground Floor) was very clean ample size for one person however, would be a little cramped if travelling has a couple. The chap running the Guest House Brian was a very nice guy. I was a little disappointed when I was informed...

Stayed here for a few days this was our 4th visit. Brian and his staff very friendly. As a coeliac I was offered gluten free cereal, sausage and bread for toast, without being made to feel a nuisance. Comfortable hotel in a convenient location for the amenities in Sandown. Would have no hesitation to book again.

I don't even know where to begin with this hotel. I have thought long and hard looking for a positive, but I can't find one. We arrived at the Chester Lodge, greeted by Brian. Pleasant enough up until the point where he started being really quite racist about two other families staying at the hotel. Openly telling us that he...

this response is from bryan, firstly and most importantly i am NOT racist nor have i ever been. i did comment on the fact that young children were running wild around the premises and that i had requested one of the parents to please keep them under control. i did also comment that i did try to avoid having large...

This is a outstanding Family run B&B on the Isle of Wight and with Brian and Jackie who own Chester lodge both of them and the staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. With lots of useful knowledge of the Island to make your stay even better if you are new to the Island. The beach & local shops are only...
