Our third time at the Belmore and it just gets better and better.Further redecoration has taken place and the entrance/staircase really looks classy.Micheai and Margaret were again great hosts for our four night stay and we were lucky with the weather.Once again my wife and I thoroughly recommend the Belmore as to us it is faultless

We stayed at the Belmore for a long family weekend, we were made very welcome and the owners could not do more to make sure we enjoyed our time on Sandown. We were given great advice on where to visit and eat on the Island. The B&B is beautifully decorated and maintained and is in the perfect location only a... More

Having never been to the IOW we were keen to visit. The wife found this lovely place and we're so glad we did. Lovely location, well decorated inside and outside. Margaret and Micahel were welcoming with recommendations for local places and restaurants to visit. The room was a double bed and bunk bed which the children enjoyed. The highlight of... More

I stayed at the Belmore B&B for a weekend with a group of six friends after visiting last year with a smaller party. Similarly to my first visit the B&B was attractively presented, spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard - we had three double/twin rooms which were all uniquely beautiful. The dining room and hall stairs and landing... More

Great location about 10 minutes away from the shops and seafront. Not many parking spaces in the road, but has a pay and display opposite. Room was quite small and very disappointed there wasn't a wardrobe to hang clothes. Just had hangers on hooks which was used for coats. Also milk and toilet paper wasn't replenished. Cooked breakfast was nice,... More

From the moment I made contact with the owners of The Belmore a personalized and professional service was given. Margaret and Michael are fantastic owners who made my family and I most welcome. The things we prize in a B&B are: cleanliness, comfort and good food. Top marks scored on all three!. The breakfast has a wide variety of fresh... More

I came over to IOW with some friends and I shared room no.6 (2 singles) with one of my friends. The 4 bedrooms I saw were all decorated beautifully with their individual themes. The facilities in the rooms are brilliant - tea and coffee, great showers, wardrobe, towels, hairdryer, drawers- and breakfast was incredible. The owners, Michael and Margaret, are... More

We stayed at the Belmore as a group in September, this gorgeous guest house was the perfect base for a few days at Bestival as part of our honeymoon celebrations. Michael and Margaret were friendly, gracious hosts, and very patient with a group of us returning late each night, covered in mud and sequins, and would still cook a delicious... More

Everything about this B&B was beyond our expectations. The room was lovely, nothing had been overlooked. Quite luxurious for a B & B. Fluffy towels. Beautiful bedding and brilliant power shower. Would definatey recommend this accommodation and would return should we stay here In Sandown again. Breakfast was excellent too.

A lovely nautical feel B&B with themed bedrooms. Small rooms but great attention to detail. Fabulous breakfast, quality rather than overwhelming amounts given at so many. Run by a friendly couple who are happy to provide local information and recommendations. Children are welcomed. Only a short walk to shops and seafront.

The Belmore is a large Victorian town house located just a 2 minute walk from Sandown's glorious golden sandy beaches and Pier. There are great independant shops, restaurants and bars, cycle tracks, coastal foot paths and fantastic places to visit, such as the Isle Of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle, all on your doorstep. Sandown boasts a 2014 Beach award and is the perfect place to build sand castles, kite surf or muck about on body boards. Our location is the perfect base to explore and discover the rest of the Island. Whether you want to walk with dinosaurs, discover the secrets of Queens Victoria's family home, or explore the beautiful and rich array of countryside, The Belmore is the place to stay. There are vast amounts of sailing, walking and cycling options, a stunning coastline and miles of beautiful sandy beaches where you can lie back, relax and bask in the sunshine. You will always be assured of a warm welcome and friendly service throughout your stay. We believe in conversation and personal touches and love to greet our guests with a cup of tea whatever time of arrival. All our rooms are designed for the utmost comfort and relaxation. We have the luxurious traditional four-poster suite, a fun family room and a variety of single and double rooms. All have modern luxury en-suite showers, a flat screen freeview T.V, free broadband access, a generous hospitality tray, hairdryer, and most importantly, a fabulous comfortable bed with luxury linens. We stick by the golden rule that breakfast is the most important meal of the day; we offer a variety of pastries, cereals, fresh fruits and yoghurt followed by that Great British tradition, the cooked breakfast. We use locally sourced ingrediants where-ever possible and it is all cheerfully served in our sunny breakfast room, and is intended to set you up for the rest of your day! We invite you to come and explore the delights and mysteries the Island has to offer, have fun and discover something new. We sincerely hope to welcome you to the Belmore in the future.
