Fabulous accomodation and host Anne was excellent. The bothy was warm and spotless. Anne brought us a variety of breakfast every morning and freshly baked bread too. Would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely go back.
We stayed here for just one night which was a massive mistake as it is such a fantastic place. Peaceful, beautifully furnished, comfortable bed, marvellous bathroom and a breakfast brought into the porch In the morning. Anne gave us fresh strawberries too. Such a lovely couple and we could of used this place as our base to visit other towns etc. To find it you come off the A9 at Dunkeld. Their postcode takes you to a house called Holmrigg. The next turning on the left is a farm track. Use this track which passes their tennis court and the Bothy is straight ahead.
My partner and I stayed at Blackloch Bothy on our way up to Skye - it was well placed and looked fabulous online...! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Anne, our host, who showed us around and then left us to it... she was lovely, and gave us a brilliant recommendation for dinner. The bothy is truly unique - it has been very stylishly kitted out, and is exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect... fresh fruit, bread (still warm!) for toasting, and lots of other extras... just what we wanted. Before leaving we went for a walk around Anne and James' estate - a huge expanse of farm and woodland... with their beautiful home right in the heart of it. We would highly recommend a stay here, and really wished that we had stopped for a day or two longer!
We had a delightful 2 night stay in the Bothy at the end of a 3 week touring holiday. The location was lovely and quiet but convenient for the Land Rover experience we'd booked. The experience was different from the usual B&B accommodation, which was just what we wanted. The room was large with a comfortable bed and the breakfast was as described by others - home made, healthy and delicious. In the absence of a TV, we enjoyed listening to the radio and exploring the local area. Anne provided an individual yoga session for me from which I learned a great deal.
My sister and I went to Blackloch for a 4 day yoga "spring clean" break.. The location is idyllic and the Blackloch Bothy a lovely and peaceful place to stay. The beds can be 2 singles or for couples a double, very comfortable with beautiful linens, duvet, soft soft pillows. Everything has been thought of, we were provided with electric blankets and soft rugs (we didn't require either as the Bothy is lovely and warm!) The room also has a dining table and chairs (good for scrabble), 2 comfy chairs with reading light (there is lots of reading material regarding the area, the wildlife etc). There is a separate kitchen and bathroom with a great shower - both are well equipped (teas, fresh coffee, milk). (please note there are not any cooking facilities as this isn't self catering) As we were on a yoga break we had brunch and supper which were delivered to the bothy, all the beautifully prepared meals were different and we had the most wonderful bread made fresh by James. We were so excited every time we ate! Our yoga was mindful and informative and Anne is a gifted teacher, we learnt so much. Marley (the dog) is a lovely soul who loves to be stroked. There is also free wifi.…
