Stayed at the McInnes house hotel for 3 nights as a family of 4, throughly impressed with the hotel. Rooms were a great size and spotless, food was 1st class and catered for all tastes including my fussy children and vegan husband. Hosts were welcoming and friendly, staff couldn’t do enough for you, We will definitely be back.

Stopped off for lunch at the hotel with a friend after a walk over the hill from Newtonmore. This was our first experience of dining out post lockdown. The McInnes definitely sets a high standard for others to follow. Everything was incredibly clean, with hand sanitiser freely available. A one way system in and out to place orders was really clear and tables in the fabulous beer garden were very well spaced. Service was very friendly and efficient, with all staff wearing PPE. Food was brought out in individual closed boxes. Our two paninis were tasty, with a great side of chips. I highly recommend this place and will be back soon!

Thank you Peter & Robert for another amazing stay at Mcinness House Hotel. After a week of camping in remote Scotland it was a real pleasure to be met with a nice warm welcome, smiley faces, delicious home cooked meals in your fabulous restaurant, comfy beds, jets baths and fluffy white towels. Not to mention the fun chats and being at ease with the covid situation. You have everything covered and we were able to relax knowing that even from 2 metres apart. After a great nights sleep we got up to a delicious very filling breakfast before getting on the road again. Thank you, we loved it. Wishing you all the very best for the future, it has been difficult times for us all & looking forward to another stay in October.

I stayed overnight in this hotel with my husband and another couple . Peter and Robert who own the hotel couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and the rooms were modern and exceptionally clean. We had dinner in the restaurant which we all enjoyed, there was plenty of choice and reasonably priced. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order , as due to covid the hotel could not have a buffet breakfast . As well as the cooked breakfast there was plenty of choice of cereal, yogurts, fresh fruit and granola . There is a beer garden to front of hotel and a large one at the rear of the hotel. Lunches are available as well. We are so glad we booked this hotel , couldn’t have asked for anything more . Many thanks to Peter and Robert .

We stayed for one night in this beautiful gem of a hotel. We were greeted warmly, and promptly given our room key. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed linen smelt amazingly fresh and very clean, the spotless bathroom had underfloor heating, just perfect.
We went to the well stocked bar for a couple of drinks before dinner. Dinner itself was amazing, the chef is very good. I had scampi, my friend had seabass and both meals were cooked to perfection. But the pudding was simply out of this world! I head the best lemon and orange pudding I've ever tasted, and my friend's sticky toffee pudding was equally delicious. The staff and management were very helpful, friendly and attentive.
This hotel deserves a full five stars, what a gem, I can highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay, can see a lot of effort has gone into the style and the comforts of the hotel. The room was perfect and comfy, the bedding was so soft and smelt amazing (I normally hate hotel bedding as it always feels too stiff and smells like cheap soap). We had a brilliant meal in the evening and a few drinks and then had the best breakfast we’d had so far in Scotland during our stay. Special mention to Robert who had a little chat with us before we left, such good friendly host. Would definitely recommend/stay again.

We were apprehensive about staying somewhere during the current pandemic, however the hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas. A great effort was made by everyone in the hotel to make the best of the current restrictions, all staff were friendly and helpful and dinner and breakfast were excellent. They are doing a great job considering the difficulties and we have no complaints

We went for a relaxing weekend and got so much more. Prior to even arriving Peter one of the owners made sure any requirements we had were catered for. This being that we had travelled with our bicycles and he ensured hey were kept in a locked area when we weren’t using them and were immediately at our disposal when we wanted them. Peter also informed us of a great cycle route which we took which added to the weekend we had in mind as the views were stunning. On our arrival till we left the staff were fantastic making sure our stay was exactly as we wanted. Peter met us on our arrival and made sure we were settled in straight away. Robert the other owner and also the chef met us at mealtime and again made sure everything was okay. I cannot rate the meals more highly the food was out of this world. It was clear to see as at dinner the hotel was fully booked with guests and locals alike.
Our stay was exactly what my wife and I were looking for and the friendliness of the staff and overall experience was one which we will definitely be coming back for. The rooms are lovely and the bed amazing as it’s one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a hotel room. There is a lovely sitting area on the front lawn where yo can have snacks and drinks and watch the world go buy. The hotel is set within an amazing scenic area of the country and local amenities are nearby. I can’t wait till my next visit.

+1
My Family and I stayed at the McInnes House Hotel for Sept Weekend 2023, the Hotel was family friendly and immaculate and very clean throughout, the Staff member Bryan was very helpful throughout our stay here and made us feel very welcome, the Chefs Liz and Chris cooked our food to perfection and the portions of food sizes were good value for money and the kids loved the desserts available. The manager Robert ensured we had everything we needed during our stay, the rooms were up to date and had everything needed to make us feel at home. I would definitely recommend this Hotel and the staff if you are looking for somewhere to stay where you can relax and unwind the Mcinnes House Hotel is the place to go.

Arrived to be seated at our table to find out it wasn’t our table, finally got seated in the correct table. We were left for 20 minutes, no one even came to take drinks order so we ordered & paid for drinks at bar .
Finally our food order was taken starters ok ? When eventually our main course arrived all 4 steaks were stone cold and even smaller than our starters . We had a 3 year old who was having a pizza it finally arrived 30 minutes after everyone else’s had. I asked for mustard it never arrived. Beans were asked for, they arrived just as we were finishing our mains.
Again no one came to ask if drinks were needed , so again away to the bar for drinks and paid for there .
By this time we had given up on desserts as table service was appalling.
So I asked for the bill to be adjusted as no desserts were had .
Only to find out they had charged us for all the drinks that we had paid for plus 2 corona’s that no one had and not even taken the desserts off .
By this time I was losing patience so again asked for the bill to adjusted and was told to calm down this just made things worse. Eventually bill slightly adjusted.
Needless to say I will never go back or do I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Completely ruined our celebrations ☹️
