This was our second visit to this delightful hotel. Very warm and friendly welcome from the owners. Provided with tea and home made shortbread biscuits on arrival. Room and bathroom very clean - with modern fixtures and fittings in the bathroom. The highlight was the food. Superb three course dinner as was our experience on our first visit. Good selection...

Set in four acres of woodland and garden, there are walks around the area to suit all abilities and, if you do not want to walk, sit in the stream side gardens, listen to the babble of the water and...

Our hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and attentive and we had a lovely, large, comfy room. The gardens are a delight to explore, by the stream. Red squirrels were a real bonus, a highlight for me. But...

We arrived on Friday evening, there was none of the usual fuss at hotels we just gave our name and signature. Had dinner which was amazing, perfectly cooked with quality local ingredients. The owners were friendly yet unobtrusive, the room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. Ideal for a quiet weekend away.
