The whole house is beautifully decorated with modern furniture that compliments the original features of the building. Freshly painted and carpeted throughout I couldn't fault this place. I was a bit sceptical about breakfast in the room but the way it has been set up is so organised and stylish definitely not a short cut and the food is excellent. We had breakfast on the terrace when the weather was sunny, which was lovely. Parking is easy and again well thought out. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts even letting us hang around whilst we awaited the AA when our car broke down as we left Ilfracombe.

The owners Cath and Simon very nice.they thought off everything to make you're stay pleasurable.Cath cooked amazing breakfasts and the homemade Granola was delicious.We had a lovley room luxury toiletries.The house keeping was lovley and polite and Kat who delivered our breakfast and cleaned our room was lovley.we will come again.thank you very much for making our week with you both a lovley stay.

We stayed in room 1 for a night and very much liked what we found. I had spoken to the owner before as my husband is disabled and they very kindly reserved us a parking space near the front door for which I’m very grateful as I don’t think my husbands scooter or I would have made it up the steep slope from the lower car park. The room was very clean and had everything you could need. We stayed when the owner was on holiday so we didn’t have anyone greet us or have breakfast which we were quite happy with as we knew before we booked that would be the case. The hall was big enough that we parked my husbands scooter in it overnight and I don’t imagine it was in anyone’s way. There was a table and chairs in the room and a settee so we’d have been quite comfortable for a few days stay. My sister has lived in Ilfracombe for over 20 years and so we have stayed in many places there and we left saying “We’ve finally found where we can stay each time we visit” as we liked it so much. …

Perfect dog friendly accommodation. We had the garden room which had access straight out onto the patio area and it’s own outdoor seating, as well as it’s own parking space. Comfortable and clean bedroom, separate kitchen / dining area which is very well stock with equipment and a nice bathroom. Great breakfast which you order the evening before with the time you want it and it is delivered to your room at the time you request. When I did for get to order, the owner kindly sent me a text and I just had to reply with what we wanted. We arrived early due to unexpectedly light traffic on the journey down as asked if we could leave our car in the car park, we were told not only was it fine, but we could have the room as it was ready. If we return to Ilfracombe we wouldn’t even think of staying elsewhere…

Absolutely beautiful! Such a fantastic b&b with amazingly friendly hosts. The rooms are bright and spacious, fresh and clean. Lovely sun terrace with wonderful views of the hillside and a ping pong table! I can’t wait to book another little break to come back!

The welcome was warm, the room (number 7 on the top floor) was spacious, as was the ensuite shower room. The bed was king size with lovely fresh linens and the room was spotless and clean. Nice touches like free toiletries, (and no, not the little sachet kind) the big clean white fluffy towels, the fridge, the coffee maker and the kettle and sachets to make your coffee/tea, the biscuits. And OH!!! the breakfasts!!!! First a continental one, then a hot one, both included and both delivered to your door at a time of your choosing. There is also a games room and an honesty bar just off the beautiful garden.I cannot fault this guest house, I would go back anytime.

Just returned from another amazing weekend stay at Epchris House and yet again it was absolutely faultless. Cath welcomed us back and took time to explain everything to us. The room was beautiful and absolutely spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfortable and shower was great. Tea and coffee making facilities were excellent and there was locally made fudge and crisps and fresh milk in the fridge which makes a refreshing change from the revolting little containers of milk offered elsewhere. We had our full breakfast delivered to our room at a time we specified on the menu choice form which again is such a brilliant idea. The breakfast was the best we've had by far which was much needed prior to our walk from Ilfracombe to Woolacombe bay and back. Overall a great place to stay, great staff, great rooms and great food. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Ilfracombe Thankyou Steve and Kirsty.…

Just came back from staying in Epchris house for the bank holiday weekend. Cath is a wonderful host, so friendly and accommodating. Stayed in room 5 with the twin beds, so comfortable and cosy. I loved that we select what we wanted for breakfast and the selection was great. We also had the option to either have it in our room or outside (garden is just stunning). Each day you get a basket brought to your room with juice, yogurt and cereal (if you’ve selected it). Location wise it’s close to town, about 15 - 20 mins which is handy and we could leave the car on site as there is parking available for each room. The grounds are beautiful, stunning gardens and there is also a swimming pool. Fantastic stay and I will definitely come back, have already recommended it friends and family.…
