I stayed here for 2 nights in a single room. As soon as I was met by Heather and Poppy I knew I'd made the right choice! My room was well presented, clean and cosy with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and toiletries. Heather is friendly and attentive - nothing is too much trouble (even me pestering her to...

I phoned Strathmore guest house after a recommendation and booked a room for 4 nights. The owner Heather and her little dog Poppy allowed us to arrive early and leave our case. Our room was a double with en suite which was clean and fresh looking. The breakfasts were well cooked and filling. Although on a hill about a mile...

Stayed here for two nights last week & although the weather was not as to be hoped, the guest house was. Heather the owner was very welcoming & extremely helpful, even offering to pick me up from a nearby village if, when I walked there along the coastal path, I was unable to bus back. I had a reasonably sized...

The owner Heather is just wonderful, friendly and very approachable. It is evident she works very hard to maintain the guest house to such a high standard and for guests' ustay to be a perfect experience. Our room (number 3) was just ideal and the best bed I have ever slept in. ( just remember Heather I will be sending...

We were in Devon for a wedding, and booked our accomodation fairly last minute through an intermediary website. We needed to check in early on arrival so that we could get changed for the wedding, and we needed breakfast early so we could leave to get to a christening the next day! Heather, the owner, was incredibly helpful, and none...

Went for a quiet Autumn time stay - had very comfortable and relaxing time. Comfortable room. The host and staff was very helpful and accommodating. The food was very good - in particular the breakfast which presented a lot of choice. Very good selection of whiskeys at the bar. I can recommend this place very highly.
