Very organised and the room was spotlessly clean if a trifle hot; easy enough to turn down the radiator! Breakfasts were excellent and set us up for a day's walking and exploring. Owners were very friendly and gave a comprehensive explanation of Covid procedures etc. Well worth a visit and easy to see why there was such a good rate of occupancy.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful hosts although accessible room was top notch the access to the hotel was incredibly steep and a manual wheelchair could not get up the slope. I have a powerchair and struggled. Saying you are wheelchair accessible is not just about the room you are providing and access around the inside of the hotel. Also we felt that the breakfast was very restricted of one item of each foodstuff. Bacon was overcooked and omelette served as "scrambled egg?

Stayed for 4 nights whilst visiting south devon. A warm welcome given to us by Ann-Marie and a subsequent tour of the ground floor and our own choice of a table for breakfast was the start of a very pleasant stay. The room we chose had a sea view spacious interior and spotlessly clean. Covid restrictions were adhered to at all times. Breakfast choices were excellent. All the other guests cooperated whilst having breakfast in observing the guidelines set out by the owners. At the time of visiting extensive work was being carried out to enlarge the car park and also to create a stepped area for guests to enjoy some relaxing views of Ilfracombe . I hasten to add this did not affect any aspect of our visit as the owners constantly updated the guests with progress. We can't wait to see the fantastic area they are creating. Wildercombe house is a 5 star establishment and well worth a stay.…

Absolutely loved it here. The hotel is excellent. Could not fault it. The rooms are spacious, break fast delicious and the owners Barry and Ann-Marie could not do enough for us during our visit. Will definitely return next year.
