Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Value for money? I think £45 per night out of season was too much. Especially when you get there to be told it is only 6amp electric! A bit mean when you are in a caravan. No where when pre booking does it mention this. Had I known, then I would not have booked. Having said that, I think it may have been more as I only tripped the box once. Also a £5 charge to dispose of a non recyclable bag of rubbish. I've never been anywhere that does that. The site itself was pleasant enough quiet, dark at night for star gazing, and a good ambience around the lake. Fire pits were allowed and watching the antics of the nesting birds was amusing. Some areas good do with tidying up. The chemical toilet emptying area was not great. Very smelly and basic. Again a lack of attention to this area with a leaking hose that soaked you as well as a leaking hand sprayer that looked disgusting. Washrooms, NOT HEATED AT ALL, so anytime outside summer will be chilly but very clean if not somewhat outdated and rustic tin roof shacks. The loos in the the small block reminded me of my grandads outside privvy at the bottom of the garden! Sort of half outside but covered. Some of the pitches were on grass which was very wet due the the inclement Pembrokeshire weather so joining the two ends of the road around the lake would be helpful so you dont get soaking wet and muddy. Would I stay here again? Probably not unless it was 16 amp electric, the rest I could cope with. My overall impression was that the object of the exercise was to get as much money out of you for as little return as possible borne out by the little touches of penny pinching.

** we stayed in August 2019 not 2022 - I am just reviewing all places we've stayed ** Beautiful camp site, woman who owns it (can't remember your name - sorry!) Is lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Came round with marshmallows and Welsh cakes! Firepits are available at no charge and it it just a really really nice atmosphere Facilities very nice, some of the best ones we've seen while camping Location wise, it's ok but we had to get a taxi into tenby. This is the only reason why this review is 4 and not 5. Would 100% recommend this camp site

Amazing little find! Fantastic facilities that were super clean! Stayed for two nights in our VW campervan and thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Local to Tenby and saunderafoot. Had a lovely burger van on site which we took advantage of on the first night and the owners greeted us with welsh cakes on arrival and came round to all the vans with marshmallows in the evenings! They really go the extra mile! Will definitely be staying again.

Lovely small site in a beautiful setting and very handy for visiting Tenby, Saundersfoot and lots of attractions. Linda who greeted us was very informative and welcoming, even gave us Welsh cakes and marshmallows. A quiet site, very clean, good toilets and showers, lots of hot water. Hope to return soon.

Myself and my hubby booked Carn Springs in Pembrokeshire. What a little gem of a find!! Oyr VW camper was sat directly in front of the beautiful little lake where we watched all the wildlife that visited it. The site was FAB, chilled and relaxing, the showers and toilets brilliant, with whole rooms with a loo and shower in them a great idea. There was a doggy wash area, and it was such a good spot for visiting Tenby, Saundersfoot as well as other places all within easy distance by motor. Linda the owner was so friendly and helpful she brought round giant marshmallows each evening for us & others to cook on our campfires. Definitely would recommend this site, even when it rained and the grass was soggy, we were happy 😁👌❤️ We will return! Velvet & Kevin x

What a Beautiful Site. Lynda the owner is so friendly. We received a little pack of Welsh Cakes on arrival and then were shown to our Tent Spot next to the Pond. The view from our Tent Door was amazing. So peaceful sitting and watching the Birds on the Water. The Robins kept popping in for a visit each morning. The Shower Block with adjacent facilities to wash dishes and do laundry was so Clean and well Maintained. Really appreciated that there was a little Hair Dryer available. Lovely Hot Water and unlike other Campsits the water doesn't switch off by itself. Lynda also comes round each evening with Marshmallows on a stick which was perfect for dessert. There is a little Burger Van on site which is handy too if you don't feel like cooking Breakfast in the morning. We really enjoyed our time there and it is a perfect Base Camp from which to do day trips to go and explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast.

Lovely lovely people and a beautiful site. Owners especially Lynda couldn’t do enough for you. There was a problem with the electric and a national grid power outage in the area. You need to ignore the below comments below about the owner turning off the electric, over 200 properties and several campsites in the area were without power until national grid came and fitted a new transformer. In the meantime the owners let everyone know what was happening and apologised for the inconvenience. What more could they have done. Site immaculately kept, showers clean, fire pits and marshmallows given to everyone, lovely lakeside views and a great addition with their new food van. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Site seemed nice until told to leave earlier due to using too much electric running a 1kw heater!! Most of the weekend the electric wasn’t working and was blamed on national grid but over heard owner stating not prepared to pay for everyone’s electric so will switch it off. At 3c outside temp this forced many people to leave early as was too cold. Owners so rude and aggressive would never want to holiday there again. The facilities weren’t bad and the young lads working the site were more than helpful but being thrown off a site for using a 1kw heater please. Should be closed down as not fit for purpose. Avoid like the plague!!!
