Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The bed was very cozy and the room was warm. A bit cold in the bathroom took a while to warm up leave towels off it. I would go again food was nice they did gluten free and lactose free food. So all good. Lovely area to explore too.

Having previously lived in Tenby for 9 years we know the area and hotel accommodation well. This year discovered St Laurence guest house. What a surprise. Peaceful location, impressive accommodation, and to cap it all the best breakfast I have ever tasted in spite of staying at highly rated hotels. However the crowning glory of this gem of a place is the welcome afforded by the owners. Pippa, Phillip and Helen are the ultimate in hosts. Too good to be true? Then try it as we did and judge for yourselves....You won't be disappointed. problems? Only one.... The season's finished now so we'll have to wait till next year to enjoy the experience again

This has to be the best Guest House we have ever stayed in. A beautiful property in a wonderful setting with simply the best hosts you could ever wish for. Pippa and Philip were so welcoming and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Phillip does the cooking and even bakes his own bread and the breakfast was delicious with everything you could imagine. Pippa looks after the guests and is just the best hostess you will ever come across. The complementary Welsh afternoon tea was excellent and they even supply a few bottles of wine at a very reasonable price if you want to spend a few hours in the lovely garden setting. I have recommended this lovely guest house to all anybody that is likely to visit beautiful Tenby. Thank you Pippa and Phil for a wonderful stay.

From the moment you arrive to the hug as you leave, you will love this place. Lovely location, close enough and far enough away from Tenby, fantastic veiws of Tenby and Caldy from rooms, breakfast in conservatory with Philip's daily fresh baked bread. Cooked breakfast to order (perfect scrambled eggs), fresh local ingredients, homemade jams and marmalade. Set for the day! Philip, Pippa and Helen make you feel special, and are Angels. Can't recommend this highly enough, and we hope to be returning in a few weeks.

Quiet location, lovely rooms, comfortable beds, and a short drive to Tenby. The breakfast is truly amazing and we have never had such a choice of fresh berries, yoghurts, array of cereals, and the varieties of home made breads. Then wide selection of beautifully cooked hot breakfast. The attentive and knowledgeable Pippa and Phil cannot do enough for you, and lots of helpful suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to eat. They have put a huge amount of thought into the experience from tea and cake in the garden on arrival, breakfast ideas, and routes to follow to see the best of West Wales. Lives up to all the great reviews.

We have just returned from a blissful long weekend at this Pembrokeshire gem. Pip and Phil made us incredibly welcome and arranged a family suite which was perfect for us with our teenage children (fabulous grown up space). You will want a car - Tenby is a couple of miles and the local area has stacks of activities sights and beaches. Breathtaking views, spacious and gorgeous rooms, and epic breakfast. Loads of little touches which put this gataway way above the average, the unexpected arrival of cake, and of course Phil's homemade bread! Good luck with your booking as we may be moving in!!

We stayed here at the beginning of August for 4 nights. Pippa, Phillip and Helen were accommodating from start to finish. They gave us excellent recommendations of places to visit and eat. The breakfast was brilliant, so much choice/variety. The yogurt and nut bread was amazing, fresh fruit, cereals and hot breakfasts all on offer...dippy eggs were also very good! Our room was lovely, a good size, clean and cool as it was quite warm, the shower was amazing too and the bed so so comfy. We had such a lovely stay here and will absolutely be returning and recommending! 10/10 :)

St Lawrence came highly recommended by a friend. I needed a place to stay for Long Course Weekend and this place ticked all the boxes. It’s beautiful. Perfect location. Phil and Pip were like a mum and dad and made it a real home from home for me. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation is set in beautiful private grounds with views to Caldey Island, The ridgeway and Tenby itself. The room had a wonderfully comfortable double bed and everything you needed including a fridge with fresh milk. The breakfasts are AMAZING! They have everything you could desire. I had a wonderful 4night stay and I will certainly be going back.

Deciding where to go for a weeks holiday my wife and I thought Tenby in South Wales was due for a re visit, being almost 30 years since our last time. We looked at a large number of accommodation sites, but one stood out from them all in our price range, the St. Lawrence Country House. “The house that thinks it is a hotel”. We booked, and we have now had our holiday. Take my word for it, it was the finest non hotel we have ever stayed in, so unbelievable comfortable, and the breakfasts were superb. Our hosts, Pipa and Philip could not do enough for you. Unlike a hotel you were treated as a true guest. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars maximum.
