Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here recently as a group of four occupying two rooms. The facilities of the main hotel are great, the restaurant is quite relaxed with a nice mix of casual and semi-formal dining. The bar area and lounges are also a fantastic place to retire to at the end of the evening. Finally, it was sunny when we stayed, and the outdoor area was a great place to enjoy some drinks why enjoying the sunshine. All of this makes this hotel one of the best in the area.
However, we had some interesting minor issues. The first was that the rooms have no milk, you have to take a small metal jug to the bar to collect milk each day. Bearing in mind there is no mini bar, tea & coffee is really all that is available (other than token gesture of a small bottle of water). They claimed this was for COVID compliance but no one could explain how this worked (because it doesn't). Also, there are no individual toiletries, instead there are mounted squirty bottles by the sink and in the shower (not dissimilar to a Travelodge). The rooms however are nicely appointed other than these aspects. Our fun ended on the last morning when one of the waiting staff accidently dropped a bowl onto our table sending coffee and ketchup everywhere. They offered to clean the garments they soiled, but we were literally checking out in an hour so this wasn't practical. That is where the offers ended with no reduction in the bill to cover cleaning or anything else on offer.
On the whole, we had a great time and we would stay again at this hotel. But there are some niggles that definitely need ironing out by the management.

We stayed for 1 night in the China room which was tastefully decorated with a large bathroom & views across the golf course. from French doors. Room had nearly everything you could ask but a coffee table would not go amiss & the open hanging wardrobe was disappointing - okay for 1 night stays but if you had more clothes a wardrobe would be preferred. We had dinner in the Orangery which again looks out to the course & is a lovely setting. The food was very good & the wine & drinks reasonable in price. The service however let it down. We had to ask for a wine list, we were not told until we placed our order that there was an alternative fish option, we were offered a dessert menu when our plates were taken & waited over 20 minutes for it which we had to ask for. The brownie dessert was good but the scoop of ice cream was the smallest we have ever seen & not worth having. All of these let the dining experience down. Breakfast in the morning however was good, organised & well presented.

This hotel has worked hard to put in place a friendly and helpful service given the covid constraints. The welcome was vey warm and genuine, the guidance on the requirements for personal protection was clear.

The room itself was wonderfully spacious comfortable and well presented and offered what few hotels do a vanity table under a mirror to facilitate making up I was informed. The bathroom was modern with separate shower and bath, both of a really good size.

The surroundings to the hotel, a golf course, are very beautiful and the manor sits within it very well. Its proximity to Tenby and Pembroke peninsular make it an ideal base for touring.

Sadly the restaurant menu was curtailed by the covid restrictions, but in saying this the choice was fine and the quality and presentation were excellent. Breakfast was really good quality with the finest quality bacon and sausages i've tasted in a long time.

I think all round this venue probably stands up very well to being one of the better hotels and restaurants in the area, and would be a first pick if we returned to the area.

Even though the staff all wore masks there was no hiding the warmth and smiles and desire to make you feel most welcome.

Weekend away to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Stayed in the granary building in lovely large room. Bed on mezzanine floor with seating area and bathroom on ground floor. Plenty of space especially if the weather is poor. Had a meal in the Orangery which was lovely. Ideal base to explore area.

Spotlessly clean.

Little niggles.

At breakfast nobody asked if we would like another tea/coffee or toast. Had to ask for sauce for cooked breakfast and marmalade/jam for toast.

At evening meal no mention of the special but luckily saw the board.

On arrival no details of breakfast times not given had to ask for times and wifi code.

Only 2 coffee bags in room for a 2 night stay and not replenished at all. No milk. You could ask for it at the bar and was always forthcoming, but had to leave room to collect and not advised on arrival.

Just little things and I understand that coved 19 might be having an impact on staffing etc but at £200 per night this I suppose expectations were high.

All in all a lovely stay.

The room looked nice enough, with a spacious bathroom, but that's where the good points end. Now for the not so good bits, 1.) If you want milk for the tea and coffee thats in the room, you have to ask for it. 2.) Same for the WiFi. 3.) The tap in the sink dripped. 4.) The sink leaked overnight. 5.) The extractor fan in the bathroom was visibly clogged with dust, and sounded like it was straining to work at times. 6.) Took me and my wife 5 minutes to get the shower to work properly as the handles were not ideal, due to bits missing, and the signs on them being feint. 7.) The food was edible, but not worth the price, had better at budget places. And despite cereal being on the breakfast menu, they had none. 8.) Some of the staff seemed more interested in talking on their mobiles to friends, than dealing with guests, leading to them getting drinks orders wrong, and then billing for said wrong drinks. 9.) Bed was very uncomfortable. 10.) When told about problems with room, the staff didn't even take notes for their records to get maintenance in, just said to us, ok we will look into it. Will not go back.

Had dinner here with two family members who were staying for the weekend
All the staff were very welcoming log fires were keeping everywhere cosy. The food was superb and was served by staff who all seemed very happy and relaxed. Lovely atmosphere and truly look forward to a return soon. The bedroom that my visitors stayed in was warm spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom
They couldn’t find any faults
Overall great value for money all round as well

Can't recommend this beautiful hotel enough! From the decor, the staff the room, the bed to the breakfast everything was faultless. We stayed in the China room which was beautifully decorated, lovely and clean with lovely views out of French doors over the golf course. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. We did not have an evening meal at the hotel as we had already booked a restaurant in Saundersfoot, but the breakfast was outstanding, delicious fresh croissants, fruit, juices, and cereal to help yourselves to followed by the most tasty full cooked breakfast you could wish for from all fresh local produce. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable we can't wait for the next time, we will definitely be booking again!

stayed here as a wedding guest. Firstly we were given a lovely room and then was told it was not our room but was being moved to a better one. This was not the case. It was a more expensive room but although the view was lovely the TV remote didn't work unless you pressed the buttons so hard your finger went blue. A member of staff came and tried it and pressed very very hard so it worked and said there you go it does work..... so gave up on that. Advertised as having robes but apparently if you wanted robes you had to ask. One of the towels (brown for people with fake tan, which is a good idea) was too small and not a bath towel more a hand towel, but when asked they did bring another one. The toilet seat fell off but we fixed it ourselves.
Breakfast was nice and they did cook whatever you requested. The food for the wedding however was not great and I did feel for the bride and groom, as they were disappointed.
The actual place is beautiful and we expected everything to be perfect but it was silly little things that had someone spent the time on would have made all the difference. Real shame

We recently had an evening meal at the hotel whilst staying at the nearby lodges.
It was excellent in terms of quality, with a good choice of options available. Each of the three courses was well presented, piping hot and served in a timely manner.
The COVID regulations were sensibly enforced and did not detract from our enjoyment of the evening.

We wanted to get away for 5 nights post family Christmas chaos, Trefloyne Manor was just the place, on its own land a little out of town, very quiet, very clean, very comfortable.
Breakfast in the Orangery overlooking the attached golf course was excellent, the staff were really friendly and on two mornings I managed to squeeze 9 holes of golf in before breakfast... perfect and great value golfing as a hotel guest. A 9 hole special rate which was a bargain.
