What can you say about Gower View, it was amazing! I booked this place as a quiet getaway for Valentines weekend for my wife and I, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The location is fantastic, (rural, adjacent to woodland with amazing views), and the lodge was just perfect. The attention to detail is evident in all aspects, real thought has been put into the the decoration and everything that is in the lodge is high quality and essential for a break. Janey is with no doubt one of the nicest B&B owners I have ever met, she kindly organised flowers and bubbles for our arrival, her breakfast's were excellent, and we had a lovely catch up with her and Roger on the Sunday morning. She answered all my questions and emails within an hour and we felt as though we had known them for years. This has now become "Our special place" and we will be returning at our next opportunity. Additional information - Taxi's in and out of Tenby town centre from Gower View are roughly £10-£11 each way. We ate at "The Stable" restaurant in Tenby, highly recommended, fantastic food (local lobster) and customer service, family run.…
We stayed in the Garden Room and loved every minute of our stay. Great room with kitchenette and balcony to eat and drink outdoors. Lovely hosts and fantastic location. Would definitely return. Tenby and the surrounding areas are well worth a visit. Our first but not last.
My husband Chris and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary on September 8th. As soon as we arrived after a 5 hour journey, Janey welcomed us like a friend. We were bought fresh milk for tea and there was a wide range of tea or coffee to chose from. A surprise of delicious shortbread and a packet of fudge was also available. We needed our champagne to be on ice until our anniversary and Janey immediately obliged and kept it in her fridge. The bed was comfortable, bed linen spotless and excellent quality furnishings ( later discovered that talented Janey made them!) The shower was brilliant as the water pressure was excellent, everything was lovely in the very modern bathroom. We enjoyed the ‘ breakfast in the room as I didn’t need to get up early to get ready and this felt more relaxed. Chris had bacon, sausage & egg on a toasted panini.. that isn’t my type of breakfast so Janey very kindly supplied lovely creamy porridge with a selection of fruit and toast which was ideal for me. Overall, the B&B is in a beautiful spot, we were able to watch the gorgeous wild birds taking their food off the bird table, whilst eating my own breakfast. A little run into Tenby but no big deal, we had our champagne to come back to after a lovely meal at the Fortina Restaurant on the sea front. Thank you Janey for your fantastic hospitality, it was lovely to meet your brother too.…
What a lovely place we stayed in the log cabin(lodge) at the side of the property next to the woods it was idyllic, tranquil, peaceful and over all very nice,if you don't wish to drive into tenby then you need a taxi as the property is in the countryside 2 miles out of tenby.janey and her brother were both very friendly and very accomodating we would definatley return if was going to Wales,we was slightly dissapointed with the breakfast being just a panini or a sandwich brought to us each morning but we understand this is due to covid but what was supplied was very fresh and very lovely and hot
Just had three nights here with the wife. A great B&B, very clean, warm and very polite owner who was very accommodating. Less then 5 minutes from the center of Tenby. Situated in a great location with great views. Would glady return here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quite ger away.
