Detailed Reviews
Just back from a week stay in room 1. got to say all the 5 star reviews are spot on. From the initial telephone call making the booking to leaving the hosts were outstanding. We arrived early and our room was ready Stephen helped with bringing in the bags from the car park Room 1 is on the ground floor on the main road, we were not disturbed by passing traffic and had great nights sleep. The room was spacious clean and comfortable for a weeks stay. Nice to have fresh filter coffee available as well as the normal coffee and tea bags with a couple of luxury hot drink sachets. Excellent car park facilities just across the road in secured by a barrier. With Tenbys parking charges this saved a fortune. Its a great location too short walk to the north beach and harbour close to the local restaurants as well.
Breakfast wow just wow fresh fruit pain au chocolates muffins bottled water and yogurt drinks along with the usual cereals and yogurt pots. Followed by the most amazing cooked breakfast I have had in the UK portions are not small, had the toasted sarnie twice that was packed full of fillings all cooked to order using great tasting ingredients especially the bacon. Breakfast was consistent all week worth staying here just for the breakfast alone. the big welsh breakfast will live long in my memory
With all the coverages of price hikes for uk holidays this year I don't know what the price was pre covid but this was fantastic value well worth every penny.
Love Pembrokeshire and Tenby would like to say I would return here again as it a idea base for exploring the local area.

As a rule we don't have holidays in the same establishments twice as we like to explore different places in pembrokeshire but the croyland is an exception. We regularly visit Pembrokeshire for holidays Tenby is a idea base to do that. The B and B location in Tenby is idea for the beaches and Harbour and the main shopping area with many bars and restaurants included. Many local beauty spots only a short drive away too.
Stephen and Clair are probably the best hosts I have come across in the many B and B I have stayed in they cant do enough for you from the initial booking to check out. Stephen has a great sense of humour too.
We stayed in room 5 at the back of the building on the ground floor perfect for a weeks stay. Booked what turned out to be the one of the hottest weeks ever but the room did have a very good tower fan which was defiantly needed WC 8th august 2022. despite the hot temperatures did sleep exceptionally well each night bed was comfy with fresh clean bedding. well stocked coffee tray which included fresh coffee and biscuits along with hot chocolate and tea. Powerful shower which did get plenty of use that week. Well maintained and clean room with nice decoration. Not a major issue but would have preferred the clock to be on the wall opposite the bed so I could see the time when waking up as I would hate to miss the fab breakfast each morning. Good strength Wi-Fi in the room too
Two very important things you need when on holiday is
1. parking, Croyland has parking spaces opposite the B and B included in the room rate which is essential as parking in Tenby is hard enough at peak times and is not cheap if you are staying for a few days in Tenby.
2. Breakfast said on my last review in 2021 is was one of the best breakfasts in the UK in 2022 nothing has changed tea coffee orange juice fresh fruit yogurts large hot option which is prepared fresh when ordered. Clair cooking of eggs is fantastic, large welsh breakfast beautifully cooked with great tasting sausages, bacon, hash brown, tomatoes (fresh or tinned), mushrooms, eggs served on toast bit if you ask nicely you might get them served on fried bread which is my choice. Wife had her egg Benedict and she was happy too. Felt like I was on the Algarve some mornings as we also got Portuguese tarts along with welsh cakes. Worth staying for breakfast alone.
Cost of living effects us all price charged for a week stay was very reasonable and value for money. Ok we had booked well in advanced even then the prices at the croyland were very competitive to others in the area. Worth booking direct with the croyland than with online booking sites for the best deal.
Hoping to return next June

We booked for a week and enjoyed everything about our stay at The Croyland. Stephen and Clair are very welcoming hosts who have an obvious passion for what they do.
Breakfast at the Croyland is an experience in itself. A very wide ranging menu that caters for everyone. The ingredients they use are of a high quality (not cheap crap)and the portion sizes are epic.
This was our first UK holiday for many years and thanks to committed folks like Stephen and Clair our faith in the British (Welsh) seaside holiday has been renewed.

This Guesthouse is situated just outside the town walls, a 7 min walk to both beaches and to the harbour.
We've Stayed here a few times now and there is always a warm welcome.
The breakfast choice is excellent.
Rooms are well kitted out. We stayed in Room 3 which is a good size for 2 people, large screen tv including tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge.

+1
Spent 4 nights at the Croyland as a short break after getting married. On arrival, Stephen our host was quick to show us our off street parking, which was around a 2 minute walk away.
On our return, were allocated room 1, which was an on suite double with 2 comfy chairs, no wardrobe but adequate open hanging space for our clothes, 2 bedside tables with drawers and another small drawer unit. We had a kettle, small fridge, empty but handy for drinks etc and a superb hospitality box that was bursting with everything you could want and more.
The room was spotless and so was the on suite.
The room is cleaned on request, which I thought was good. This means, no one enters your room unless you requset it. Sometimes if the weather is bad and you are staying in, the last thing you want is people cleaning around you.
We were out every day and only requested our hospitality box to be topped up, which was done promptly.
Breakfast is something else. The choice is amazing. Fresh and dried fruits, an array of cereals with yoghurt and bottled water in the fridge. Hot food was a choice of a small Welsh breakfast consisting of, sausage, bacon, egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash brown, black pudding and a triangle of toast that your egg sat on. A larger breakfast was also on offer at double the items, or you could pick and choose whatever combination you wanted. A rack of toast accompanied the breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Tea, coffee and orange juice were brought to your table. Clair takes great pride in producing probably the best breakfast we have ever had. Perfectly cooked every morning with good quality fresh produce. In case that wasn't enough, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were also on as a daily special.
Front of house is Stephen and he makes a great host, very attentive and quite chatty with all guests.
All in all, a lovely spotless B&B, just a few minutes walk from the harbour, beach, pubs and tourist sites.
We would definitely stay here again when in Tenby and have recommended The Croyland to family & friends.
Thank you Stephen & Clair.

An exceptional Guest House situated in a convenient position close to both the town centre and the cliff top.
It is clear that the proprietors have paid an astonishing attention to detail.
The bedrooms in particular had everything you could ask for, even including a small fridge. We chose one of the suites. The extra space in having the second room came in very useful. There is even a second television, which came in handy.
The Guest House also provides you with a secure allocated parking space in a private car park which is just across the road.
I have saved the best until last though. The breakfast at the Croyland is quite simply the best we have experienced in over 40 years of staying at Hotels and Guest Houses all around the UK. The full cooked breakfasts were freshly cooked and superb. You could have two of anything you wanted, not that we did as it would have been far too much. Each day there is an added selection of specials. The selection of fruits and cereals was the most extensive we have ever come across. Finally, there was a fridge with bottled water, yoghurts and probiotic drinks. You really couldn't have asked for anything more.
We really cannot recommend this Guest House too highly. Absolute perfection.

Croyland Guest House has to be the benchmark for every B&B/GH to strive for. Rather than write a lengthy review I would say that everything was perfect. Large choice for breakfast which was always cooked to perfection. Steve and Clair are very friendly (but not overbearingly) and ensured that everything that you needed was in place. Very convenient for central Tenby and associated beaches. Steve will direct you to their own allocated car parking area (difficult to get in Tenby), just a few steps away from the GH. Of course everything was kept clean and tidy. The Wifi was perfect.
We paid a little extra for the king bedded suite so enjoyed a separate lounge - both rooms had a tv so we could split viewing. I think that it was room 2.
Very highly recommended.
