My husband and I have stayed at Sunnyside numerous times for 9yrs. The service there is amazing. The owners are so friendly and hospitable. It is always clean and fresh it is sleak, modern but with lots of traditional features suitable for any age group, individual, couples or families. The breakfasts are amazing we would recommend the omelette or full English. All food is either locally sourced or made by the owners.

Anthony met us at the door on our arrival and carried our cases up to our room for us which was very welcoming after a 2 and a half hour journey .. Our room was lovely and clean and very tastefully decorated . We were offered a drink also which was lovely. Larissa came up and introduced herself with some freshly baked cakes by her self as anthony was explaining all about breakfast and how to use the coffee machine etc.. the fridge was packed with drinks , water , cans of coke , ginger beer and fresh milk. There were plenty of coffee , tea bags , sugar and biscuits also . Anthony recommended nice places to eat and booked a nice restaurant for us on our second night's stay which was very kind .. We had a fantastic nights sleep as the beds were just so comfy and pillows lovely and fluffy . Breakfast was very good we had a full english which was lovely and fresh . There are l ots to choose from and we were offered more of anything if we wanted it .., freshly homemade pastries were available in the dining room , which were very yummy plenty of cereals, fruit and homemade jams also .. We couldn't of asked for a better stay , better breakfast sleep or better hosts . We would definitely recommend the sunnyside and and we would definitely return when visiting southport again . We thoroughly enjoyed our 6-night stay at the Sunnyside, thanks to the warm welcome provided by Anthony and Larissa. Everything, from the spotless room and very comfortable bed to the delicious, freshly cooked breakfasts, showed great attention to detail. We particularly appreciated the gluten-free options available. The fridge in our room was stocked with complimentary soft drinks. All in all, a much more personal experience than that provided by some hotels we have stayed in.

This was our second stay at Sunnyside and on our arrival Anthony and Larissa gave us a warm welcome. Throughout out our stay nothing was too much trouble and they were very attentive hosts. Double checking if we needed anything. The room was immaculate, very clean and the fridge was well stocked with complimentary soft drinks etc . There was a lovely touch with home made cupcakes too Breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared with organic foods, home made jams and fruit salad. There was plenty of choice. I highly recommend the guest house and will be returning soon for another stay.

From the moment you walk through the front door,you are made to free welcome,Sunnyside is spotless,looked after by Anthony and Larrisa,,our room was ready,even though it was only just after 12 noon,we stayed in the triple room,it's furnished in black,white,and chrome, the room had 3 beds,wardrobe,2 easy chairs,and something you don't always get a fridge,which had water,milk and 2 small bottles of ginger beer in ,the en suite had a bath with overhead shower,plus the usual sink and toilet,the beds are very comfortable.
