The Balmoral Lodge is an excellent hotel. We stayed in room 9 which was a big room, the bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms we've stayed in! The restaurant was closed during our stay but this did not inconvenience us in any way. There's a large car park that is free.

Stay here Friday to Sunday and it’s a pretty good hotel. The beds where comfy and the room spacious with en-suite we had a ground floor room with French doors to the garden. The breakfasts where ok but the toaster took for ever to brown the bread. The staff where fantastic. If I

The hotel is in a good location & the staff friendly. It is a basic low cost hotel so you get what you pay for. We found it a bit unusual that main entrance door was locked most of the time & we had to use a side entrance which we were told would only be used after 9pm.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you find the hotel value for money. The door is locked at the front for security reasons for the children staying and to make sure that nobody except customers are in the building. Kind regards

Why did you stay 2 nights in such a room? You did not even speak to us during the 3 days you were here and even at check out this morning when your partner put the key on the desk and then escape! You were more than welcome you come and discuss with us and we would have helped you to find a room suitable for a birthday present in a 4* hotel and not budget hotel at about 40.00 pounds per night with breakfast. If your review was truthful why did you give a good rate for breakfast on booking.com when in fact you never came to breakfast? Next time get your fact right .

Not really, I'd read through the reviews about cleanliness and their breakfasts first.

Yes they do, when we were there, there was a guest in a wheelchair, however I do not recall a lift, so may have to request a ground floor room.

my view is that 6 cars would fill it (12 -No way) As we were leaving early next day we double parked! No parking outside but there is parking about a 5 minute walk away. Hope this helps.
