Drenched with hail arrived to a lovely welcome, great room, decorated very stylishly. I was 'poorly' in the morning so the coffee and great breakfast cured me. The Braxtons have decided to adopt the Clifton and its very friendly owners x Can't wait to stay again x

Beautifully appointed and charming B&B in Georgian house. Friendly proprietors, who make a wonderful authentic British cooked breakfast just the way you like it. Excellent location between main shopping street and conference centre; easily walk-able from Railway station even trundling a suitcase. As a 'traditionally built', middle-aged woman I thought the narrow stairs to my room might be a problem... More

My Cousin and I decided on a very last minute trip to Southport. We called on spec at the Clifton Villa, Bath Road, right in the heart of Southport. It was an excellent choice, we were fortunate there was one double room left which was very modern with personal touches. The breakfast was excellent with all named brands and we... More

Excellent service and breakfast. Close to station and promenade/centre and all amenities. Room was clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. One minor issue, very steep stairs to upper rooms.

2 night stay here and it was a very good choice. The room was small but very clean and had everything you would need. The hosts were excellent and cooked the best breakfast we have had in this kind of establishment. The location too is great; near to the sea front, station, shops etc. Certainly would recommend it.

Nice clean and tidy room. Real comfort. Great breakfast, friendly hosts in Jimmy and Collette who could not do enough for us, suggested places to visit and to eat. Near to centre of Southport so easy to get around
