We arrived with family to stay the night to find the hotel was closed. We had booked for my father's birthday present as we were going to see the Kynren production nearby. Couldn't get into the car park as it was blocked off by old beer kegs. It had obviously been closed for some time as the hotel looked shabby...

I know it has been taken over since my wedding in November 2009. But anyway... my day there was well organised & done to my specifications. Food was good. Could have done with more bar staff as people were waiting 20 minutes for a drink. 7/10

If I could mark this with no stars, I would have done. Booked this hotel in April for a three day break but have just got an email from booking agent saying guests were turning up and the hotel was closed. Thank you Helme Park Hall hotel, we would have driven 360 miles to be greeted by no place to...

pleasantly amateur old fashioned hotel, lost my telephone messages, charged me again after taking the money from Expedia, to which I agreed in good faith, pretended to want to reimburse me and then did not answer emails or call for weeks , then they WENT BUST and closed down. What alarms me is that Tripadvisor, Expedia, Booking.com and all the...

We arrived for I night and it was closed. No one around car park empty, no light on. Phone not working or disconnected. We had to drive to Premier Inn at Bishop Auckland to find a room for night. Cant add any more as we couldn't get in.

Car park is full of rubbish, old bedding etc., the building is well past it's use by date. Arrived after a 10hr graft to be told there was no food that night due to not being able to get a Chef. There was no heating, only electric radiators; and as a consequence no hot water in the taps. Thought I...

Fri 25 March 2016, 10.30pm Writing this by phone light, wrapped in a blanket in a freezing cold, pitch-black room. You couldn't make this up. Having eventually parked in the bin bag and old bedding-strewn car park, we checked in at 3pm and were told there was no evening meal service as they couldn't get a chef for tonight -...
