Broken wing mirror after leaving my car parked here under the care of the hotel. Really disappointed to end my holiday like that. Now looking at a replacement car part and had to drive home 200 miles at midnight with a gaffa taped mirror. The staff were apologetic but that shouldn’t happen.
Stayed here for what we thought would be a restful night before our flight on June 8th Unfortunately not the greatest hotel Main alarm went off briefly at 10.30pm The at 4am ( for 10 mins !! ) Add to this the shower head that was broken The evening meal that took an hour to get plus the parking which seemed a nightmare I feel for anyone leaving their car there whilst away ( definitely not recommended ) Broken toilet seat just about summed it up If you like a fawlty towers experience then please be my guest and ignore this.
Booked two night accommodation, one at each end of our trip, transfers and car parking. Check in was smooth and efficient, the early transfer driver was waiting in the morning, on return we waited 10 minutes for collection from the airport. Dinner was enjoyable and breakfast was fine, using very good ingredients. The car was ready for us in the morning, damage free. Other reviews have made negative comments, recommend you have all details sorted at the time of booking and bring your confirmation with you. This place offers good value when compared to other hotel offerings. We can positively recommend this Hotel purely based on our experience. Will not hesitate from using it again
Great staff, food superb, and a wonderful value for money hotel 5 mins from Gatwick. Was able to park car here for the duration of our holiday and used there minibus to take us to and be collected from the terminal. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We left 2 cars here for a week while we went on holiday and stayed overnight 1 night before the holiday. When we booked we were told over the phone that 1 car was included in the price and we would need to pay for the second car on arrival. My sister had arranged the booking and arrived a few hours before me. She paid for what she thought was my car and £20 for a transfer to Gatwick and back for 2 people. But when I arrived well after midnight, I was charged the same, unable to check with my sister because she'd already gone to bed. We're now on £350 for the stay, with the cars and transfers which isn't a good deal anymore. We decided that they must have got confused because both cars were on her room and I didn't technically have a car in my room so just thought we'd explain and ask for a refund when we got back. To get to the room we had to go through one building out the back of it walk through 15 parked cars all crammed onto some gravel and go into a different building. The room was really nice though. Nice and big with a comfy bed. The shower was difficult to get in to and stand up in because the roof was slanted (I'm 5ft 7). We were told to phone the hotel just after we landed and the transfer would be there by the time we got out of baggage reclaim. We phoned when we landed and said we'd probably be about 20 mins until we were out. This hotel is a 6 minute drive away from Gatwick. 30 mins later we phoned to check as we hadn't seen the driver yet. He hadn't left yet but told us he was on his way. Another 30 mins pass and we finally got picked up and taken back to the hotel. £40 this cost us - we could have booked any taxi and been there in minutes with the same if not less of the cost, but we'd already paid the charge unfortunately. When we eventually got back to the hotel we picked up our cars which were crammed into this tiny car park inches from eachother and asked about the charges. The lady said that parking is never included in the price and that the charges were correct, no apology for the confusion or anything. TLDR; Positives are, the room was lovely. Big clean room with a comfy bed. Negatives are, the car park was horrendous so don't bring a nice car, the transfer will have an hour wait and you'll be charged double once you get to the hotel because it's too late to back out.…
We stayed as we were flying from Gatwick the next day and were leaving our car. Check in was smooth enough we were given our room keys and directed to a separate building. We parked our car fine. The room itself was clean. It lacked complementary toiletries and the sink was in the bedroom and not the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. We were leaving around 0300hrs and there was a man intoxicated and asleep on the stairs. We had to bodily lift him as we couldn't get past. We went to reception in order to be taken to airport and reported the drunk man. The guy on reception did not look too bothered as he said he knew him. On return pick up was smooth from the airport. We pnly waited around 20 mins after calling. Car has a scratch at the back bumper, however we signed a disclaimer stating no responsibility would be held for any damage. …
6 of us stayed here overnight before an early gatwick flight... Room only basis... Paid extra for parking and transfer which we thought very reasonable. All rooms very clean and comfortable...my room a little noisy as at top of stairs over bar but I put my ear plugs in and slept well. 4.30am transfer to airport and on return we phoned and transport there in 15 minutes with our cars ready in the carpark. Can not comment on food as we did not eat here. Would definately use again if we flew from gatwick.
Excellent hotel very near the airport. Very clean and comfortable Nice breakfast included and a very good shuttle service to the airport is available. The rooms are spacious and comfortable as is the bed. Would recommend staying here especially if you need to wait for a flight
The room was okay but the hotel overall is looking tired and needs a refresh. We had to ask for tea/milk as there was none in the room on arrival. The food for dinner was okay but my wife's steak that she asked for done 'rare' came out as medium. They also add 12.5% in service charge to the bill, which is already expensive for what it is served. We had to be up early for 4am xfer to Gatwick, so the noise from reception and the bar that went on til' midnight did not help in anyway. On our return we rang for pick up only to find there was no driver and told we should get a taxi. No problem with this, but it was gone 11pm and there was already up to 75 minutes delay for taxi's. When we eventually go back to the hotel there was no member of staff to be found and rang the number on the reception desk. Eventually, they managed to get someone to drive to the hotel to give us our car keys. We finally got on the road at 01:30am, even though the paperwork with our keys clearly stated we were due back that evening at 22:25. This was completely overlooked by staff and no effort made to contact us so we could arrange transportation back to the hotel without the long delay we experienced. Needless to say, we won't be rushing back to this place when there is far better choice in the immediate area.…
