Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love the place! It is so quiet and clean. This is what I want. perfect for travelers, and also few minutes drive to Gatwick Airport. I will rate this 10/10 including their services. Staff are very nice and helpful. I will definitely comeback and recommend this to my colleagues.

Great place for the night, arrived quite late in the evening and just waited 10mins to get checked in. Room was great, solo room that was clean and cozy. Bus to the airport to and from was less than 10mins, and was £2 each way which was much less than a taxi. Would stay again if flying from Gatwick :)

We needed to stay overnight both before and after our flight from Gatwick. The staff were very helpful and friendly and provided a breakfast tray for us as we had to leave at 5.15am. The taxi they ordered arrived promptly. On our return (by bus; there is a direct bus from Gatwick to outside the Turret) our car was at the front, we were expected and our room was ready for us. Room was comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We shall use the turret again!

We had 3 rooms booked for 1 night wirh parking for 2 cars for 1 week. It cost us £78pp as 5 of us split the whole bill. Rooms were satsfactory although not sure ours on 1st floor had been updated, bed was very small but it was just for one night. The owner was lovely, she informed us that the 100 bus, costing £2 pp picked up opposite hotel and dropped at North Terminal, we got the 5.37 bus and it worked perfectly as did the bus back, this stops directly outside the guest house. We will definately be staying again.

My review is going to be very honest It is an extremely well positioned guesthouse for the airport Walkable from Horley Train Station (10-12 minutes) and close to numerous shops, restaurants, pubs/bars and just as importantly, Gatwick Airport, just 5-6 minutes in a cab (we got a transfer by cab at a cost of £18 one way as it was 4am in the morning, but on our return we used the train to Horley and then i walked to collect the car and then picked up the family from the station) Our room was at the front of the guest house, the hotel was undergoing refurbishments when we arrived however this wasn't advised by the reception staff upon arrival, there were tools and paint all over the place which looked unsightly. When we booked we advised that we were a family of 5 but upon arrival we only had 4 beds, so we had to squeeze an additional mattress into the very small room we were allocated. The shower/bathroom was very outdated and was in need of an upgrade. The handbasin was in the main room rather than in the bathroom which was very strange. We had coffee making facilities to hand but these weren't used. We were lucky that this was a very short visit but unless work is done on the rooms and the hotel, we won't be willing to stay again. We left too early for breakfast (early flight) so couldn’t comment on that.

Great for a one night stop over before flying out if Gatwick early morning. Only a 5 minute drive, easy to return car at airport. Clean, good sized room. Well appointed. We were on the ground floor which was great as we did not have to bring suitcases upstairs. Could walk into town for tea. The only negative is we were woken up at 5 am by the room above us walking around and also we could hear their shower, this was really annoying as we did not have to be awake until 6am

No fans or air conditioning and the upper room was very warm. The room is very basic and could use updating. The room was tiny as was the bathroom. The breakfast (which is extra) was decent and reasonable.

Very friendly host for an extremely well positioned guesthouse. Walkable from Horley Train Station (10-12 minutes) and close to numerous shops, restaurants, pubs/bars and just as importantly, Gatwick Airport, just 5-6 minutes on the bus, from the bus stop opposite. My room was at the rear of the guest house using the side gate to access. Lovely and quiet, and very clean. A comfy bed, nice shower and tea coffee making facilities to hand. The wi-fi worked well. I left too early for breakfast (early flight) so couldn’t comment on that. Two things did slightly let the visit down. It was very warm in the room due to the very hot weather. Despite the room being in a nicely shaded area, a fan in the room would have been nice, as an option. Secondly the glass panes above the door and main window were uncovered, meaning that by 04.30 the room was all lit up. I found this very disappointing. Neither of these wouldn’t be an issue in the winter months of course but are easy to address in the summer. I did however manage to get back to sleep and overall had a decent nights sleep and enjoyable stay. Would I stay again? Definitely, I would, and The Gatwick Turret Guest House is highly recommended.

Stayed here 3 nights. Great help from everyone at the B&B. Very close to airport and also to center of town (Horley). Although on a busy street, the whole B&B was very quiet. Very clean rooms. Although rooms are not very spacious, but it fits the bill for me.
