Detailed Reviews
My wife and I have just got back from a 4 night stay at the Ravenswood.
We found Stuart to be a great host, very welcoming and happy to advise on places to eat and visit.
Our room was at the front of the house but the double glazing, window shutters and very thick curtains did a great job of keeping the noise from the road and trains out!
The room was a good size, very clean, the only thing I felt it could have done with is a bit more storage space and perhaps some coat hooks, but hey that's a minor gripe.
There's a fridge on the landing for guests to use, which is also stocked with beer (although we resisted the temptation!)
Breakfasts were fantastic, plenty of choice and nice portions too.
I'd hand on heart recommend staying here and if we're ever visiting Stirling again we won't hesitate to stay here.
Thanks Stuart!

Stuart is a fabulous host. Great location with parking. Lovely rooms, very clean with lovely decor. Very comfy beds with lovely bathrooms and showers. Stuart cooks a lovely breakfast but also offers alternatives for those wishing to have something a little lighter for breakfast. We stay here when we are in the area and wouldn't stay any where else. If your looking for value for money in a place that will exceed your expectations look no further you will not be disappointed. Only a short walk into the centre of Stirling. Great area for touring Scotland or just getting away for a long weekend.

Booked the ground floor room for my parents (who have mobility issues) last minute in order to attend a funeral. Stuart was very gracious and helpful from the moment we arrived to check in, offering to call around to see if any dinner reservations could be made. As everywhere was booked up due to the new Gov eat out scheme, Stuart very kindly allowed them to eat a takeaway in the dining room. The Guest House itself is lovely and immaculately clean. It is conveniently close to the town centre, with onsite parking. I would definitely recommend this Guest House and host.

The property is a delight and Stuart was very helpful in all our communication with him, with regards to Lockdown. It was a pleasure to meet him in person, when we could finally travel
Our room was just so tastefully decorated, and the bed super comfy.
Then onto breakfast, so well cooked and very tasty, with top quality ingredients.
We would recommend this stay to anyone.

Stuart is a great host. Our room and bathroom far exceeded our expectations. There was a large exceptionally comfy bed and the breakfast with homemade bread was excellent.
There is space to sit and relax in the breakfast room and the house has a very welcoming feeling.
We felt our stay was great value and we couldn't ask for more.

A friend and I were up in Stirling for a fencing competition at the University and booked a room at the Ravenswood for the night between the two days of competition. I got an email from Stuart prior to arrival with all kind of useful information well in advance. On arrival, we were greeted by Stuart who showed us to our room. There was apparently an issue with the window in the room we'd booked that was making some noise in the wind, so he moved us to another, larger room, explaining the breakfast forms, doors and keys. Stuart was also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The rooms were very well kept, clean, tidy, and with all mod-cons: kettle, tea and coffee, television, wifi, etc. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and soaps - the shower in our room was a god-send after a whole day's fencing too!
We both slept well and breakfast the next day was of a really good quality indeed. Modern, comfortable rooms in a lovely Victorian property within easy walking of the University and the city centre. I'd certainly have this place on my list the next time I'm staying in Stirling!

Just scan through the reviews and you will note that this guest house has all you would want for a truly comfortable stay. But not only that as it exceeds all expectations. Warm, helpful host who has the oft lost art of attention to detail to provide his guests with the best experience. Spotlessly clean, wonderfully comfortable bed, information pack in room, refreshment tray, sharing fridge, superb en suite, great touch bedside lights, black out curtains, very quiet, varied choice of breakfasts and cooked to perfection, no plastic bread here .... could go on and on. Street served well with buses to town too. Value for money? Absolutely 100%. No wonder he gets so many return visitors. What a find! Thank you Stuart, great visit, just too short,

Stirling is a fascinating location close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. If you find yourself in the area, Ravenswood Guest House is an outstanding location for seeing the surrounding area. Stuart goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home. In our case, he even assisted with dinner recommendations and followed up with making our reservations. During our week-long stay in Scotland, without a doubt, the most comfortable accommodations we encountered was at Ravenswood.

Lovely and charming house a 20 minute walk from the station over the famous stone bridge.
Stuart the owner and host is friendly, affable and a great cook. I'm fussy and pedantic with my breakfasts and no detail was too much trouble but also the quality was genuinely comparable to 5 star hotel breakfasts.
After I'd left Stuart called me as he'd discovered I'd left an item of clothing behind in my room and sent it to me in London declining my offer to pay. What a gent!

This is the second time we've stayed here. The first was so positive that we stayed again earlier this month as part of a road trip around Scotland.
Stuart is, without a doubt, the best host of any B&B we've stayed in (which is quite a few). He's extremely helpful with things to do around the city and with places to eat, but adds in great touches. He offers to make reservations, tea or coffee when we arrived and even has a drop of whisky on offer!
We happened to be in the same room which had a great bathroom only 18 months ago but has already been completely refurbished to a fantastic standard. If I lived closer, I'd ask who fitted it out! The bed was really comfortable and the Tunnocks teacakes were a nice change from the standard biscuits.
The breakfast was delicious, with information in the room guide where everything is sourced.
If you're looking to stay in Stirling, you absolutely must try this B&B.
We'll certainly be back!
