Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My hubby and I spent two nights at the Ravenswood guest house . From the minute we arrived, we were made very welcome .we arrived a couple of hours before check-in time, but our room was ready, and Stuart very kindly let us setlle in . We had room 4, which is one of the smaller rooms , but we found it more that adequate and cleaned to a very high standard, and the bed was extremely comfy. The breakfast was excellent, a good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt, etc, and the cooked breakfast was great. The Ravenswood is slightly further out of the main town than we anticipated, but a taxi isn't expensive if needed. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay , and if we were in that area again, we would certainly stay again. TOP MARKS STUART.

My sister and I spent a night after being at the Edinburgh Fringe, despite us being a bit late for our check in, due to the train running late, we were given a lovely warm welcome by our host , who made enquiries to the local restaurant to see if they could accommodate us for a meal, sadly no but we managed to get something to eat at the local shop . Room 1 is gorgeous , with a double and single bed, the bathroom was stunning . We both slept very well the beds are so comfortable . Breakfast was really good, lots of lovely options on the menu . Would definitely suggest a stay here, we will be back

Stuart is an excellent host. He has a great knowledge of the area. e.g. He knew the week of our visit was Graduation week at the University and got us booked into the local restaurants at v. short notice on couple of nights. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast was varied, done to order and delicious. We had an upstairs room at the front of the house and didn't notice the road noise. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a fantastic place to stay! Clean, comfortable, easy to locate and has a very good breakfast! Stuart is an amazing host who doesn't hesitate to make your stay the most welcoming possible. He also has plenty of suggestions on what to do, where to eat, etc. Easy walk to local grocery, some pubs, and historic sites. Highly recommend!

We were warmly welcomed by our host who also provided some excellent recommendations for dinner and the onward journey. The twin room was nicely decorated but a little snug (which is often the case with twin rooms so not really a negative). Good ensuite. Great choices on the breakfast menus, we were won over by the posh porridge. Would be happy to stay again.

Enjoyed our stay at Ravenswood Guest House. Welcomed by Stuart, our room was ready early so we were able to drop off our luggage and head off to Stirling Castle. Room and bath were very clean. Breakfast was delicious and even included haggis. It was nice to be able to select options.

Stuart is an excellent host. He has a great knowledge of the area and lots of good tips. He communicated promptly and was extremely accommodating. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the food delicious. Be sure to have the brown bread - Stuart makes it himself. We had an upstairs room at the front of the house and didn't notice the road noise. We would definitely stay here again.

Stirling is a fascinating location close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. If you find yourself in the area, Ravenswood Guest House is an outstanding location for seeing the surrounding area. Stuart goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home. In our case, he even assisted with dinner recommendations and followed up with making our reservations. During our week-long stay in Scotland, without a doubt, the most comfortable accommodations we encountered was at Ravenswood.

Just scan through the reviews and you will note that this guest house has all you would want for a truly comfortable stay. But not only that as it exceeds all expectations. Warm, helpful host who has the oft lost art of attention to detail to provide his guests with the best experience. Spotlessly clean, wonderfully comfortable bed, information pack in room, refreshment tray, sharing fridge, superb en suite, great touch bedside lights, black out curtains, very quiet, varied choice of breakfasts and cooked to perfection, no plastic bread here .... could go on and on. Street served well with buses to town too. Value for money? Absolutely 100%. No wonder he gets so many return visitors. What a find! Thank you Stuart, great visit, just too short,
