Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We selected this B&B based on other reviews and we were not disappointed. The B&B is situated in a very picturesque setting, which provides for a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are large, especially the bathroom. Breakfast is delicious and there is a wide choice - a good start to the day. Debbie is very friendly and helpful. This B&B is thoroughly recommended as a base for exploring southern Scotland

We booked this accommodation as I wanted to be close to my family in a neighbouring village. First impressions did not disappoint, the grounds were lovely and very well maintained. Debbie greeted us and allowed us to check in despite us being early! Everything about the accommodation was lovely and very tastefully furnished/decorated. Our room no 2 was absolutely huge and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and set us up each day. I cannot believe how Debbie manages to maintain high standards as it appears she worked on her own whilst we were there! We are truly grateful for her hospitality and have already and will continue to recommend. Thank you Debbie for a wonderful stay, we loved your home. I cannot praise it or yourself enough! Pat & Gary Curtis x

I booked for 3 nights stay at this place with my 3 year old daughter ,and paid for 3 days breakfast additional. Our booking dates from 4th May 2023 to 7th May 2023. We checked in on 4 May at 16.35hrs ,we were provided Room number 5. Me and my daughter were tired after long drive. I took my daughter to the shower ,(not in the bathtub ) obviously shower door was kept opened the child need help for shower ,the electric shower was not hot enough so my daughter has to stay 10 odd minutes in the shower .there was some spillage of water on the bathroom floor . Suddenly the house owner run to our room and entered the bathroom and said there is leakage in their kitchen and asked me to be careful while in shower ,I apologised and stopped shower. After 2 minutes again the Lady house owner run in to our room and said you are less than 1 hour in my property and you flooded my property ,my daughter was in the bathroom I was changing her ,my daughter fearfully looked at me , I apologised ,the house owner stayed for a minute and stared at us . She wanted us to leave the property at 17.30 hrs , I didn't know where to go ,I don't know sterling ,I have no friends or family in sterling . I suddenly picked up my luggage ,while the owner was standing outside room ,and walked out with my daughter 17.25 hrs , within one hour checked in to the property . The owner even doesn't wanted to give a chance to stay over night and leave the property next day . I was upset as my daughter's mother not with us ,I was totally stressed where to go with this little child this night to stay . I drove my car to sterling town, parked car in parking lot and started searching for a property ,it was long weekend, so it was not easy to get a property this late ,finally found a property around 6.30 pm at premier Inn sterling . Same evening I contacted Bookings .com and explained everything, and requested for a possible refund because I booked for 3 nights and additional payment made for breakfast , unfortunately the house owner completely denied to pay back any refund ,not even the payment for breakfast 3×9 =27 I am sure they haven't prepared breakfast or wasted any of it , as we never stayed there. It was unfortunate and very sad experience for me and for my daughter . Extremely stressful day ever in my life . I couldn't drive straight home back ,as we needed ferry to reach Northern Ireland . The property owner not just stopped pay me any refund and she claimed that there was £50 damage due to leakage of water in the bathroom . I can surely say the pain and stress ,me and my daughter faced at your property was terrific. I will give 0 star for this attitude .

Response from Deborah Howitt, Owner at Woodcockfaulds Farm & B&B

Here we are again not content with slating me on booking .com so traumatized you do another nasty review ,let me explain so you understand!! If I paid you for say a car I drove it about for a hour wreaked it and came back to you to say I want my money back it's broken what would you say ? You could not be bother to parent your child and flooded my kitchen to which I had to get dehumidifiers in and run them for 2 days the room was unusable for 3 days as even the bedroom carpet was soaking and you asked for a full refund , the stress you caused me and my business was horrific ,all because you can't parent a small child . A small spillage can be wiped up will small towel you used all the bathroom mats towels including bath towels hand towels and face cloths so guess who never noticed what their child had done ,oh and I never ran into your room I knocked and waited till you answered also you sorted somewhere else to go before you left I never asked you to leave so maybe the truth would be a idea !! Sure the premier Inn be thrilled to have the two of you , I give you minus 1 for your attitude

Great location, peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to pop into town. The room was large, bed comfortable and the bathroom had a separate shower and bath. The decor was quirky and the breakfast was fresh. Will visit again, despite rhe distance.

Debbie is the perfect hostess humbly but congenially sharing her home on this working farm in the middle of nowhere but only 15 minutes from Stirling and 30 minutes from the Edinburgh airport. As so many have commented, it’s better than any hotel. The guests were quiet and respectful of the other guests. All amenities were excellent. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and customized without any complaints. It was such a pleasant 3 day stay allowing us to recover from our jet lag! To get here, though, use Google Maps and input Woodcockfaulds Farm. Our GPS/SatNav was confused and traveling here in the dark arriving from Dallas, Texas, the roads were uh, exciting 🤣. I highly recommend this place for all types of travelers!!! Previsit communications were nicely and rapidly handled through Facebook Message

We drove to the place. It was a bit off, because it is a farm so nothing unusual about it, but we did not understand it until we arrived. We were welcomed by the host, and shower our big room with two beds, and gigantic toilette with shower and all. Very quiet place, so we did get a good sleep. Good wifi, we could stream series. Breakfast was awesome as well. You get to decide what you want night before and breakfast is waiting for you when decided. Bread that we got was toasted to perfection. Maybe they have an Dualit-toaster :) All in all - recommended it if you have a car, want to get good night sleep when visiting Stirling.

The room is absolutely spotless and very well kept. Nothing is to much trouble for the proprietor. Easy to find off the main road. And very relax. The room wax better than some hotels I have stayed in. I would definitely recommend staying here for a break in Stirling.

We stayed in a family room at Woodcockfaulds Farm B&B for an Autumn half-term break with our five-year old and had a wonderful and very comfortable stay. Our room was very large with two super comfortable double beds and was equipped with a smart TV, tea/coffee making facilities, plenty of storage space and even a fridge. The bathroom was huge and we were supplied with lots of quality towels. The B&B is very clean throughout and was always cosy and warm to return to after a wet and windy day of sightseeing. There's also plenty of secure parking. We enjoyed some lovely breakfasts including the most delicious eggs from the farm's own hens. Debbie was a great host and was always very welcoming, friendly and helpful - thank you very much for looking after us so well! We can highly recommend Woodcockfaulds Farm B&B!

Debbie and family run a delightful bed and breakfast. Location is perfect for visiting Stirling, Falkirk etc but is very much a beautiful rural location. Room was excellent and very comfortable, breakfast a very good start to the day. Planning to return 😊
