stayed one night on way from St.Andrews to Edinburgh. Came in by bus and left by train and the Willy Wallace is well placed for travelling so. We slept in a shared female dorm. all well, though the night we were there the window had to be shut for the revellers in the pedestrian street below. However the toilets and...

Hi! That is nice to read! Our international volunteer team seems indeed always happy to help. And our female bathroom offers some privacy. Glad you took advantage of it. Thank you for staying with us. Francois.

my grandson booked me into the hostel as he thought it would be suitable when i was staying overnight in stirling - however the stairs were too much and the bunk beds i would not have been able to climb up to - my friends and i laughed and we asked if we could have a refund - the manager...

Hi! Very sorry that we couldn't accommodate you that night. There was no bed available at all apart from the ones you booked, and basically no alternative options. The next time that I see your name in our booking system, I'll make sure to reserve three lower bunk beds for you. Thank you. Francois.

About what you expect from a hostel, both good and bad. I brought my young son along this time, and really the double room was a good deal. Fairly quiet (though it did get a bit load briefly late at night) with a bunk bed and little else it met our need for a place to stay very close to...

I stayed in the Willy Wallace Hostel and liked it a lot! The staff was very nice and helpful and there was a well equipped kitchen for everybody's use. Very central near bus and train station and a lot of different sights worth visiting.

The hostel was close to the train, castle and other attractions. The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds weren't too uncomfortable, but they need more bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for taking some time to let us know your Willy Wallace experience. Glad to see that you enjoyed your time here! You staid with us during the "high season", when the hostel is fully booked. The showers can pretty busy on specific times (in the evening before bed time or before the check-out time in the morning). You'll...

We started our road trip in Scotland spending the night in this hostel, as expected, nothing incredible, beds were old and uncomfortable and the it was not amazingly cleaned. If you arrive late you need to late them now. Good location.

Dear guests, Thanks for this review. I can see through your other reviews that you have mostly staid in hotels. As you said, the price of a youth hostel is not even comparable with a regular hotel. The atmosphere and the service are different. It depends on what you are looking for. There would be no need for our reception...

A very good place to stay : the staff and people are nice, it's a lot of fun to stay with them. The common room is big and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the dorms are clean. There's a good atmosphere at night but the dorms are very silent. It feels like a second home !

Spent 3 nights here and found it to be clean, comfortable and extremely colourful! People are friendly are happy to offer advice on where to go what to see etc. Upstairs bathroom recently refurbished so offer a decent shower after a long day. Location is good, central and 3min walk from the station. Only downside with central location is that...

I stayed here during one week and really had a great time! The staff is very friendly and helpful, you really feel at home! The location is great in the middle of stirling ie the middle of scotland! And so close to the train station, nice if you got lots of luggage (but no elevator in the hostel). Everything is...

To start with positives, the place is regularly cleaned, and the bathrooms are really nice. However, I don't think the place has been deep cleaned in a very long time, and as a result everything looks run down and dingy. There are only a couple of outlets in the rooms, and they're hidden behind beds, so you can't really use...

Hi, Thank you for helping us to improve our services. Our hostel is an old historical building. Everyday our housekeeping team is giving a deep clean to every single dormitory and common areas. However, when the hostel gets a bit busy, it can be a challenge for us to keep the kitchen and living room very tidy at all times....
