My husband and I were travelling home from visiting our daughter in the far north of Scotland and found this an ideal location for an overnight stop.
Munro House is ideally placed for visiting both the old and new Stirling quarters.

The guest house had a warm , friendly feel with beautiful decor and lots of pictures to make it homely.

As we were visiting during the Covid pandemic we felt very safe as Richard had very carefully adhered to all guidelines without compromising the friendly welcoming atmosphere.
As restaurants in the city closed early Richard was very accommodating in providing plates and cutlery in the dining room so we could eat a take away meal.

Our room was warm (not too hot as in many guest houses), comfortable and very quiet and dark at night , all conducive to a good night's sleep.
A delicious breakfast was freshly cooked to order with an excellent choice.
All in all an excellent, clean and welcoming stay with a very hospitable host.

We recently stayed in a very well appointed twin room at the Munro Guesthouse for 2 nights. It was unusually hot but Richard had taken every possible action to alleviate the heat in our room by supplying a very quiet room fan, the option of flat sheets in place of duvets if required and the windows had been opened all day. The room was tastefully decorated, the complimentary toiletries were very high quality local products and there was a comprehensive information folder. Richard was the perfect, attentive host. The location was central with free parking overnight and a long stay paid car park 2/3 mins walk away.

Despite everything, the present Mrs W and I were able to get away on holiday to Scotland in October. On the first day we drove to Stirling where we stayed at this great B and B. This was the first time we had stayed away from home since Covid took over our lives but all the necessary protocols were in place to ensure a safe stay. Richard the owner explained everything and it was all made easier as we were the only guests that night. We were allocated room 2 which has fantastic views towards the Wallace Monument. Munroe Guest House is ideally situated in a quiet side street near the centre and within walking distance of the main attractions Stirling has to offer including the castle.
Parking is available in the street but payable at certain times.
Richard was a great host and we enjoyed an excellent "full Scottish" before completing our journey to Grantown-on-Spey.
We would definitely recommend Munro Guest House to fellow travellers. You are assured of a warm welcome in a safe environment and very comfortable surroundings.
PS travelling from the south, we took the opportunity to take a slight detour to Falkirk to see The Kelpies. These are 100 ft night metal sculptures of two horses heads and if you get the chance go and see them!

We enjoyed a lovely and comfortable overnight stay at the Munroe guest house, on arrival Richard gave a warm and friendly welcome, and ensured we were comfortable with dogs before entering, we were and the dog was very friendly also!
The room was well presented and modernised compared the pictures I have seen on trip advisor, it was comfortable and had all necessary amenities, a lovely hot shower and comfortable bed. A short walk from the city centre and attractions including the castle and the jail house. We had a light breakfast by choice but the range was plentiful, and smelt delicious! Thankyou Richard, would recommend!

We chose this B&B as it was close to the City centre and to our chosen restaurant. A warm welcome and we dropped our bags off. These were taken to the top floor which looked out over the Wallace tower. The room had a adjoinging bathroom with sloped ceilings which were high enough.

Just returned from a 4-night stay at the wonderful Munro Guest House. Richard is a very thoughtful and friendly host and will make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Location is easy to find with on-street parking right outside.

Rooms are very well fitted-out; beds are extremely comfortable and the whole guest house is spotlessly clean.

Breakfast is excellent and Richard is very flexible for those with dietary requests.

Location is very convenient for the castle, bars, restaurants and other attractions in Stirling with many places to visit close by.

Very highly recommended.

The Munro Guest House is a charming place to stay in an excellent location. Richard and Harley (four paws) make guests feel very welcome without overwhelming them. Everything is spotlessly clean the breakfast cooked to order beautifully. We will definitely stay here again!

Would I stay again? Absolutely and my preferred accommodation when staying in Stirling.

I had another great stay and the host, Richard, was as welcoming and helpful as ever. Whilst Covid restrictions remain in Scotland Richard was very well organised, the place was spotless and remained accommodating.

My room was lovely, well maintained and spotless and the breakfast was fantastic - they do amazing poached eggs.

Another enjoyable stay and cant wait to go back

Thanks Richard and Harley for making me feel so welcome

Vistied Munros whilst in Stirling and what a great find. Richard was a great host, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfatable with a great choice at breakfast freshly cooked how you wanted it. Richard’s knowledge of the area gave us lots to do. The first stay coming out of Covid times and all guidelines were follwed making the place feel safe. We were well looked after. Highly recommended and would definitely stay next time in Stirling.

Great stay!. Richard is a wonderful host and makes you feel at home. He makes a scrumptious and filling breakfast.
Munro Guest House is centrally located to many restaurants, shops and Stirling Castle.
His home is spotless, large and cozy. Our room and en-suite were very comfortable and well equipped, with lots of space and nicely decorated. Coffee and tea facilities are available in the room.
There is pay parking available across the street or longer term just a 5-7 minute walk away.
Richard was very helpful with suggestions for dining and getting around
We would definitely recommend his accommodation and would stay there again

There is on-street parking at the Guest House which is free 17:30-08:45 (and free all day Sunday) - between 08:45 and 17:30 there is a ticket machine and the cost is up to 4hours for £2.60. Regards, Richard, Munro Guest House
