Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If I could rate lower I would. I am sitting here listening to party revellers leave and it is after 1am. No sleep, rooms are small and hot with no option but to open a window increasing the noise from outside. Never coming back and will make sure I never recommend. Clearly there is no concern or intention of providing a quiet location for travellers to rest. Would have had a better sleep under a bridge!

The service from all the staff was great at all times. The breakfast was very good with a large selection of both hot and cold food, never seen so many different meats. The dinner was excellent the chicken breast was cooked just right with plenty of flavour and juicy. Our room was clean and tidy, the decor and furniture was did look a bit tired. We would recommend this hotel. Great value for money and service.

Our third visit- this time with our dog. The university grounds are good for walking the dog. Quiet, comfortable rooms with a good spread for breakfast. Sufficient safe parking. Easy access to Stirling, Bridge of Allan and surroundings. WiFi cover was good and Eduroam cover is also available.

Went today for a special lunch with over 100 people and was so impressed with the service received and the food was exceptional. Would highly recommend as a venue for a special celebration lunch or dinner. I had pate, beef wellington and apple pie. The beef wellington was amazing and the roast vegetables were so good. Many thanks to the staff who were all so kind and attentive.

Rooms in desperate need of a makeover, this would not cost the earth so unsure why it's not been done. Pillows are so thin and old, no pillow protectors duvet is the same very old. This would not cost much to change. The room was clean but very depressing with the decor. Staff ok but no personal touch, asking for extra milk etc felt as if it was coming out the staff members salary along with the odd cheeky comment which really made me feel very unwelcome. Restaurant and food looked lovely just a shame the rooms and at times certain staff members attitude let it down. Stayed 3 nights that was more than enough. Left feeling very flat. Stayed in many hotels but this one is one I won't be returning to.

Nice hotel in the grounds of Stirling university. Food bar and room all good. Well priced hotel handy for visiting our granddaughter. The staff gave great service. I will return in the future. We never used the pool or other facilities that are available when staying here.

Great location, friendly staff, room modern and well maintained. Nice feature on motion sensor bathroom light Dave's struggling to find the switch in the dark. Grounds were great to walk round and having a co-op in the student facilities nice touch Breakfast was very good with every option you could want with a glutton free section. Only disappointment was the cooked breakfast was barely warm Restart and bar area wa great and the food was first class. Recommend staying here to anyone from couples to families. There is a cinema with a flexible fee charge, pool, golf great grounds and a really relaxing atmosphere.

I was was thankful to discover that there’s a hotel near University of Stirling. So this was the obvious choice to stay here whilst setting my Son in Uni. My son and I arrived on the 6/9 & leaving today 8/9. The hotel is located walking distance to the University which is brilliant and the grounds are stunning. My thoughts of the hotel is it’s okay. The reception staff are friendly and attentive. Day one on arrival, I called reception to let them know that the bin in the bathroom was broken and the silver panel on the wall for the flush was loose and one of the most annoying thing about the bed was it moved forward when you sat up against the head board. The receptionist made a note but nothing has been done about it. They aLai only clean the rooms very 3 days and not daily. Breakfast, very good. You have a chose of full English & continental with tea & coffee.served between 7-9am. The Resturant serves lunch & dinner too. The hotel is an average one but if you’re visiting the University this is located well. Uber doesn’t do business in Stirling but you can use local taxis. All in all a great experience. Pictures are a view as you step out of the Hotel and the University

Disappointed on the whole. Restaurant had run out of a lot, rooms only serviced every three days - outrageous! Lovely grounds and really nice bar area but would not return. Staff were helpful but I think a few local maps would be better
