We called in for the first time, looking for a place to eat close to the Orange Tree where we were staying for B&B. We received a friendly welcome, good service and advice on portion size. (The Inn offers smaller portions for those with a smaller appetite.) I was pleased I'd opted for the smaller portion as this was more... More

I was staying in Rosedale Abbey for a couple of nights with my sister and a friend and we decided to try the Coach House Inn on our first night for an evening meal. What a great find! The staff were friendly, humerous and courteous. I'm a vegetarian and I was happy with the choice on the menu. I also... More

Had Sunday lunch today, 1 beef and 1 pork, couldn't fault it ,the meat was well cooked and tender, yorkshires and stuffing were home made, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, the meal was complimented by very efficient staff.

Popped in for a drink whilst staying at the caravan site opposite. Very busy with a good atmosphere popular with families and dogs. Wish we had eaten there. Will return to try the menu. Staff friendly

We were staying at the caravan park opposite for six nights and ate here for five of them. That says it all! The menu is extensive enough to keep us both happy all week and the chef seems to be very flexible about special requests. They do nearly all the mains in smaller portions too which is great! The staff... More

This restaurant is directly opposite the Caravan Club site in Rosedale Abbey, which is where we are staying for a week. Tonight is the second time we have had a meal here this week and we will definitely be back before departing for home. Absolutely superb food served by courteous, friendly and professional staff make this a must. Whether staying... More

We were staying at the camp site opposite and for a place like this NOT to allow dogs, is unbelievable! We were told to 'leave' as soon as we stepped in with our clean paws and without a smile! So we kept on walking to the next pub which is called the Milburn Arms. We ate a splendid 2 course... More

We have eaten at the coach house inn today. It is without doubt the best Pub Fish and Chips I've had. Yorkshire portions, huge home battered fish, real chips, and amazing mushy peas. Roaring wood burning stove. Howard and his staff were so friendly we didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back soon.
