We returned to Keld Head cottages for another visit this year. We have been regular visitors for several years because we have always found the accommodation to be clean and comfortable, which when coupled with the little touches and warm welcome, serves to make a stay here the best possible experience. During this trip we visited Scarbourough by bus to visit the castle. The bus was very reasonably priced and great value. We also went into Helmsley for shopping and a walk. We would also recommend the Pickering town trail for anyone wanting to know more about this delightful market town.

These cottages are fantastic: superbly well-equipped and in an excellent location for either touring the local area or walking on the moors. The initial welcome tea tray was great too - just what we needed after a long journey!

Just come back from a lovely week with three generations of my family staying in Pasture View at Keld Head Farm, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit - I would not hesitate to recommend it!! We picked this accommodation because it was all single story which suited the elderly members of a group (one uses a walker) and found the spacious accommodation perfect for this. It’s also great for kids with a private garden and also a play area & summer house with lots of games. Penny and Julian have really thought of everything - there were cakes when we arrived and fresh milk in the fridge. The location is also super to explore the North York Moors and the Coast which is beautiful. We also visited Dalby forest which Penny and Julian can provide a pass for so you don’t need to pay to park. Would definitely visit Keld Head again 👍…

My husband and I stayed here for a week in the summer holidays with our three young children. We had the most wonderful time! For ourselves we very much enjoyed the lovely flowers and plants in the courtyard, whilst our children delighted in the large grassy area with a climbing frame, swing set, and a shed full of toy cars, balls, and other outdoor games. The cottage itself was lovely. It was clean and very tastefully decorated. I would definitely recommend paying a visit and hope to come back again. Thank you Julian and Penny!

Our second holiday staying at this fabulous location. The cottages are well equipped & very clean, the homemade cake is a lovely touch & the supplies for making a drink. It is in a prime location for visiting some of our favourite places, Thornton le Dale ,York, Whitby, Malton & Helmsley to name a few. Highly recommend staying here we will definitely be back

Amazing warm welcome to a beautiful holiday cottage. Truly is a home from home! Super comfy bed with lovely bedding, everything ypu need for your holiday, fabulous grounds and the added extras of delicious home made cakes biscuits and a pint of milk too. The Smithy cottage is super cosy, well decorated and extremely clean and well presented. It is perfect to use as a base whilst visiting North Yorkshire or just to relax in. So pleased with our holiday cottage and we would definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you so much!

Just had another wonderful holiday at Keld Head in The Smithy. The cottage was spotlessly clean when I arrived and the home made cake was delicious. It has a lovely homely feel, is very well equipped and has its own outdoor space, the bed is really comfortable and a great size. Within the complex there is plenty of parking, a play area, and areas for sitting and relaxing. The cottages are well situated for trips to the coast, the moors or York, as well as Helmsley and Thirsk. There is a variety of leaflets available in reception with suggestions for activities and places to see, some discount vouchers are also available. For a day in the cottage there is selection of films that can be borrowed and a small library in the old phone box. Pickering is within walking distance for a good selection of shops or a trip on the Moors Railway. Penny and Julian are great hosts, very welcoming and helpful. I'll be back!!…

Spotlessly clean and spacious accommodation. We stayed in the Granary and were well impressed with the facility. Everything we needed in a self catering unit was on hand. The farm itself is well positioned for trips to York, Whitby, the North Yorkshire National Park and many other lovely towns and villages close by. The owners were friendly and helpful. The next time we visit the area we will have no hesitation staying here again. .

We've stayed at Keld Head a few times (twice in 14 months), probably in different cottages each time! The cottages are lovely and Keld Head is ideally situated to do our favourite things; heading to York, Scarborough, Harrogate or on to the moors. Penny and Julian are welcoming and we have no hesitation in recommending Keld Head.

Excellent location for the area, cottage was very good with all you need, welcome touches like milk , biscuits and buns, fresh flowers, would stay again without question.Reasonable walk into Pickering and the local theatre was very good .
