We're a family run, family orientated camping and caravan park in North Yorkshire. Situated at the gateway to the North York Moors, approximately 30 minutes from idyllic coastal towns including Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. We have a separate Touring Field for tents, caravans & motor homes with hard standing and grass pitches. There is also a separate area with views stretching out over the Yorkshire countryside home to a number of Static Caravans for Hire & Sale. Our site is nestled behind the Black Bull Inn approximately one mile south of Pickering on the A169. You can take the Coastliner Bus and 'Moorsbus' to Pickering, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors - perfect for those who want to leave their car on-site.

We visited the Black Bull Caravan Park at the beginning of October 2023. This was a repeat visit as the park is one of our favourite destinations for our touring caravan. The whole experience from beginning to end was excellent. The website is clear and easy to use, the charges clearly set out, and the booking process very straightforward. We were met at reception by very friendly staff, the directions to out pitch clearly set out on a site map, and the pitch itself was excellent - spacious, good level hardstanding, plenty of well-maintained grassed areas, each pitch separated from the next by a well-maintained low hedge for privacy, and easy access to all the services. On-site facilities - toilets, showers, waste disposal points, all modern, beautifully maintained and spotless, and plenty of fresh watering points throughout the site. Adjacent to the site itself, also a nice, well-maintained dog-walking area, with plenty of boxes to collect any dog waste. The Park is right next to the main Malton-Pickering road, with a 20 minute walk into Pickering, or a bus ride with the "Coastliner" bus to Whitby across the North Yorkshire Moors, the bus route being described as Britain's most scenic journey. And if you don't like the bus, then Pickering is also the start of the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway to Whitby - at present £45.00 gets you an annual ticket to use on the train as often as you like, so, pricey for one journey, a snip if you come back and use it again! Although we didn't use it because the pub was closed in the evenings on Mondays and Tuesdays at the moment, the site is right next to the Black Bulll Pub This was a repeat visit for us - in itself a commendation for the friendliness and high standards at the site, and we will definitely be back in 2024 - so well done, Black Bull!

We have just returned home from a 3day stay here, there is nothing but praise for this site. From our warm welcome by the owners upon our arrival to the little touches such as our pitch being right near the park which we had requested for our 2 young children. The site was spotless, great shower/toilet facilities, great size pitches, lovely surrounding area with a football pitch, mini golf&a beautiful kept games room for families. Would highly recommend this site to anyone and would return. We stayed here for it's location to Flamingo land however its a great spot for other places. Next to the site site is a pub which had nice food in the evening &again great staff. A perfect site.

Just spent a lovely 5 days at the site. Enjoyed the local walks, down the lane across the road from the site. Trevor and Wendy were marvellous, especially their friendly approach to their work on site on keeping things tidy and clean. Helped by great weather, and we've already booked our next stay.

100% recommended for those looking for a quiet break. Ideal location for Flamingoland; it’s close enough that you can see it from the site, but also far enough away that none of the noise would ever bother you. 5 minutes away in the car. We stayed in a static caravan which was brand new. It was spotlessly clean, had lovely fluffy pillows & blankets and had all of the essentials for a self catering stay. The one we stayed in overlooked a peaceful field & it had a lovely little deck to sit on. We were lucky enough to see a barn owl swooping across the field while we were sitting out. We were a family of 4 (2 teenagers, 2 adults) and we had plenty of space.

Just returned home following a four night stay (3rd -6th April) at the black bull caravan park. (Pitch 5) It’s a very well kept site, clean, tidy and generally well maintained. Easy access to Pickering and Whitby, this is a very good base to take your tourer and explore the local areas. The staff were very polite and helpful, especially Stuart who helped me to erect my new awning and gave us great advice, so thanks for your advice and expertise, hopefully see you next time, as we will definitely return
