As caravanners, we were recommended The Hawthorns by a fellow caravanner on a forum and we were not disappointed and have now been visiting for several years. Being Heritage Railway buffs and the site being situated in Middleton, only a short drive from Pickering station, it is perfectly situated. Our son comes along with us too and stays in the...

We stayed in a cabin for the Pickering War Weekend and has everything you could want for your holiday. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, this is the perfect place to explore the area. L&Bdoncaster

We have been staying at the Hawthornes bed and breakfast for the first time and the second time we came down. We stayed at the ROWAN Lodge for the last 4/5years and we have found The Hawthornes relaxing and very peaceful. We can wait for next year so we can go back and stay.

Have been staying in one of the lodges (ROWAN) for about 4/5 years and have found the accomadation very, very good. The lodges are very well layed out, everything you require to be self catering is provided. If cold you have a wood burning stove, which keeps the whole lodge nice and warm. The lodges are set off the main road...

I visited The Hawthornes for the first time and fell in love with the place, my parents have stayed previously and love it too. The cabin was clean and fresh, comfortable with a very relaxing atmosphere. The shower was amazing. I was made to feel very welcome and will definitely recommend to friends and family. The pigs, chickens and horses...

Just stayed 4 nights on the caravan club cl site at the hawthorns. The site is pleasant enough but the facilities are terrible. There was one toilet, and then a separate toilet and shower. They were dirty, there was no heating, no toilet roll, no toilet lid, and a towel that was damp hadn't been changed the whole of our...

Arrived unannounced, we hadn't booked but were given a great welcome. Set back of the main road this lovely home raises it's own pigs and chickens and grows all sorts of veggies. The en-suite king room was pristine along with the rest of the house. Comfortable bed and choice of pillows along with lots of available storage including a fridge....

I am probably one of the few who can comment on all three aspects of The Hawthornes, the B&B, the holiday lodges and the caravan site. As a family we took one of each for the Spring Bank Holiday week and I would like to thank Paula and John for accommodating our very last minute change of requirements. The B&B...

A lovely place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful location. It is great to stumble across a B&B where the welcome is like that given by Paula & John, and where after a great stay you leave as friends. Highly recommended.

We have now stayed at this b&b twice and it is a wonderful place to stay. We were given tea and a scone on arrival. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful and very nicely cooked. Paula and John are very pleasant and helpful for all enquiries. Could not be any better.
