    In response to your review. Firstly, I dispute that the park has been misrepresented in anyway. We have taken great care to show Rocklands Lodges as accurately as possible, even posting videos so people can see the park and the inside of the lodges. There are a great deal of pictures on the website taken by ourselves and we even have an aerial view so you can see exactly the layout of the park and how the lodges are positioned. Did you look at our website before booking? The website breaks down each lodge and shows interior pictures of every lodge in the park and their views. It even has pictures of each entrance to show accessibility, it couldn’t be more detailed or accurate. The lodge you booked was a studio lodge, which is the smallest of the 9 types of accommodation and set in an open plan design and ideal for 2 people. There 12 pictures displaying exactly the layout inside the lodge and the beautiful view across the green belt from the veranda. I wish I could attach pictures for the readers of trip advisor to view, but if they did want to look, it is the Studio Lodge Beckdale on our website (soon to be a hot-tub studio Beckdale). It has recently been redecorated and is very popular with our returning guests. In fact on the reviews on our website you can see that guests return to Rocklands Lodges time and time again, many saying it is their 5th or 6th time. Many of them are staying in a lodge similar to the one mentioned and complement us on our warm and friendly welcome. We did indeed greet you with a very warm welcome as you chatted to my wife in reception before being shown to your lodge. We took the booking in good faith, which prevented us from selling the property to any other guest. It seems clear that you decided upon entering the lodge that you wanted to leave immediately and wanted to have a refund through no fault of the lodges or the staff. There was nothing wrong with the accommodation. It was warm, immaculately clean, and exactly as represented on the website. We were under no obligation to give a refund when there is no problem and it was too late in the day to sell to anyone else. We were however sympathetic to your situation and offered to transfer you to another date but you demanded a refund. I enquired if you booked direct or via a 3rd party so I can find out how to proceed. We could not have slammed the door, as the door is permanently propped open and extremely heavy. I would actually say it is indeed your review that is extremely misleading and potentially damaging to our family business. However, I know that when people read the reviews on trip advisor that they are wise and take into account the majority, which show that 262 people to date have given us 5 stars and complimented the hospitality, the lodges, and the park which I am very proud of.
