We stayed in a two bedroom family lodge (number 17)for two nights from the 12th April. We enjoyed our stay & the hot tub which we found the temperature just right, the grounds are kept nice & the fairy lights that come on at night look lovely. My 8 year son used the football net in the play area which he enjoyed.
The oven didn’t work so the owner came to have a look but it needed an electrician so he said they would call the next day, after arriving back from our day out a note was left to say this could not be fixed so he had left a small counter oven but it was the first night I needed the oven so we didn’t use it as we ordered takeaway, it just took up valuable space needed for prepping food so it was in the way really.
The beds were clean/comfortable & plenty of nice fresh towels were left, the lodge was clean enough but just needs a little more attention to detail. The hot tub by the front door leaves no place to sit out but there was a little decked area on the back with some seating but these were not cleaned or swept ready to use which was disappointing, with it being the first day allowed back open I would have thought this could have been done.
I think we would return but would try a lodge with a better view as no 17 was the first one as you drive in off the farm track.

Despite covid, we felt SO welcome. From the minute we arrived, we found our name on a whiteboard at our lodge, making us feel like they’d taken the time to actually look at who was staying. We entered our lodge to find it immaculately clean. The children’s room was perfectly set up, windows locked was a nice touch for safety. The main room was small but oh so perfectly formed. We had hand soap, washing up liquid, oven gloves, tea towels, cloths, and even some tea and coffee. We really felt like they’d thought about everything we might need while we stayed.
Beds were comfortable and again immaculately clean.
The hot tub was also immaculate! Good instructions on how to use and it felt so private too.
The children’s area was also phenomenal. A smaller area for small children with plastic climbing equipment and a slide, then a swing set and monkey bars. Also away into the corner was a large climbing frame and goal for older children.

The overall location was fantastic, easy to drive to lots of places in the area.

We would definitely consider returning at a later date and would recommend to all.
Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

On arrival the cabin was left open with the keys in the door, the heating was on with ambient lighting and the hot tub was clean and steaming hot ready to use - it was such a lovely welcome! The cabins are really warm, cosy, clean and well equipped. Whilst it’s a small site the cabins are positioned so that you have privacy. The best bit was as the fairly lights came on that are positioned all the way round the site - it’s magical. Really pleased with our stay and will definitely be back.

Me and my toddler have just got home from a long weekend at Rocklands Lodges.
We stayed in Lodge 12 - Dalby.
On arrival, its stated that due to covid, the key is left in a key safe on the side of your lodge and you’re given a code to get in with nobody to greet you. When we arrived, at 3pm the key safe was wide open suggesting the lodge wasnt ready. However when we called the office they said to try the door which was open but no key. They sent someone down and we were told the last people likely took the key home. My issue here being that now covid restrictions have lifted, its a shame that there’s no personal greeting on arrival to welcome to the park and the lodge.

The lodge itself was beautiful, well kept, clean and private. The water pressure is excellent in the shower which can be unusual for this type of stay and the wifi is also faultless. My only gripe with the amenities is the stove top kettle. I microwaved my coffee all weekend as it was quicker!

The grounds of the park are beautiful and well kept. It looks stunning on a night lit up. However the play area/park worded on the website is a tad glorified as in reality its slightly tired garden play items/wooden climbing frame which was slightly disappointing but minor in the grand scheme of things.

The lodges are well insultated and we didnt even know we had neighbours until we stepped outside which is great.

There is an honesty shop for necessities on site but for anything else its a drive away as there is very little in the area of walkingn distance.

We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.

Where do I start! From driving up the lane we was all in wow mode! Such an inviting, clean and quiet impression we first got. Little present & Prosecco next to the Xmas tree too!
We stated as a family of 3 ( 10 yr old girl) for our first stay away from home for Christmas and we was not disappointed. We also took along our dogs who enjoyed the stay just as much as us, they were so well behaved!
The site was very remote and quiet, only people we saw was walking there dogs on/off site.
The lodge was very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. As it was over Xmas and making Xmas lunch I was very happy that every tray, pots & pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery were provided. There was not a thing missing!
Dressing gown & slippers were an added bonus! The lodge was lovely and warm, very comfy too!
The little honesty shop on site was a lovely touch & sold basic but everyday things.

Pickering town was only a 10 min drive out, we had some lovely pub lunches and the town was peaceful and inviting.
We also drive up to Whitby on Boxing Day which was sooo busy and such a beautiful drive looking at scenery.

If I had to change anything….it would be to add more Xmas decorations. ( I bought baubles and extras for the tree) This is just my own preference as I felt it was a little bare and like I say it was our 1sr Xmas away from home so wanted it to be like home!

This was by far the best Christmas we have ever had!
I will 100% return at some point throughout the year!

I would highly recommend a mini break at Rocklands lodges, the lodge we stayed in was great inside and out and also fairly priced.

The bedroom is cosey looking and the bed was very comfortable,

The bathroom is modern looking with a walk in shower

The kitchen is open plan with a little dining area and living room, fully equipped with plenty of utensils and cooking equipment.

Dog was welcome for a small extra fee which was ideal

The location is great I’d recommend a visit to Helmsley and Whitby beautiful places with great food and views, the pie shop in Helmsley is top quality and the fish and chips from Whitby are hard to beat

Had a lovely 3 night stay here, lodge was comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could need. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and really taken care of, the site is so peaceful with wildlife like bunnies and woodpeckers, we really had such a relaxing stay. The hot tub was nice and powerful and there’s playground equipment for the children aswell as a very friendly cat!The site is ideally situated for trips to Whitby and Scarborough. Would really recommend and definitely return. Thank you!

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting family.
Upon arrival the lodge was clean, warm and cosy. My kids really liked the play area, especially the football net! Beds were also really comfy which was a plus.
We were a party of 2 adults and 3 kids and found the lodge to be quite cramped but it was OK as were out most of the time.
Loved the hot tub but I really would prefer to have control of the hot tub temperature settings myself. The controls are pre-set and you can't alter them which isn't ideal as not everybody likes the same temperature. We found that the hot tub was cold after 10 minutes and it would have been nice to adjust the temperature.
Also a dishwasher would be a welcome addition especially in the COVID pandemic to ensure all plates etc have been thoroughly cleaned.

Just spent an amazing 3 nights at the lodges. This is the third time we have visited for our wedding anniversary. The lodges are well kept and lovely and clean. They have everything you need plus more such as washing up liquid, washing up sponges and tea towels etc. I love the extra little touches making towels into swans and hearts with rose petals on the bed. We spent a couple of days out on the steam train which goes from nearby Pickering and visited Whitby and Goathland. Then evenings were spent relaxing in the hot tub listening to the birds. We paid extra for the robes and slippers which I feel is worth it as makes it easier when in and out of the hot tub. The lodges are quite isolated which we love as we are away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and are surrounded by nature and lovely places to walk to. This break is just what we needed to recharge our batteries and we can not wait to come back!

we stayed here as a surprise for my niece's special birthday as she had stayed here before and absolutely loved the place. there were birthday banners on the door to the lodge and on the fence where the hot tub was (what a lovely gesture). the lodges are very welcoming and cozy. the rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely laid out. the kitchen has everything you need with a lovely complimentary box of tea, coffee and milk, tea towel, sponges and washing up liquid. we loved the views, the location and it felt like we was in an enchanted forest, especially in the evening when all the lodges and outside was lit up with 100's of fairy lights. such a peaceful and relaxing place. I am most definitely returning.

i like that it is dog friendly, there is an honesty shop and launderette on site. the area is well maintained, the hot-tubs are well maintained with privacy. it really is the place to visit for a weekend or week away. i did not want to leave and did not want to get out of the comfortable bed......
