Travellers' Choice
Enjoy a slice of paradise at our Premier Inn Pickering hotel, we’re just three miles or a five-minute drive from the borders of North York Moors National Park and North Riding Forest Park, perfect for peaceful strolls and weekend hiking trips. We’re just over a mile from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (Pickering) Station, a refurbished steam railway that goes directly into the heart of the National Park with scenic views and a classically British experience. There’s plenty of other things to do nearby too, we’re very close to Pickering Castle, and Flamingo Land Theme Park and the Eden Camp WW2 Museum are only a short drive away. Our hotel also great links to other towns in Yorkshire like Thirsk, which is close to our other hotels in North Yorkshire. Set yourself up for a great day exploring the moors with a delicious meal at our in-house Thyme restaurant and, after an exciting day strolling through some of the most scenic sights in North Yorkshire look forward to relaxing sleep on one of our super-comfy beds.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a shambles, turned up to the hotel having booked and paid in advance for room and meal deal. On check in were were advised that the restaurant could not accommodate us for our evening meal, so forcing us to eat in Pickering town. Returned to the hotel for a drink at the bar when we got back, only to be served a brandy in a dirty glass that tasted of soap, which the assistant manager refused to change and said it was rinse marks. I feel this hotels customer service is is very poor and does not understand the customers needs.

Just had 3 nights at Premier Inn Pickering, the room, clean, comfortable and quiet, bar area was very nice and welcoming, we had a meal and breakfast in the restaurant both very good value for money. A big shout out to Leve, she worked reception, got rooms ready, worked behind the bar as well as served in the restaurant, all this with a smile for everyone, a credit to this hotel. We will return again when visiting NYMR.

Check in easy and quick using the machine Rooms good size and clean Staff friendly Restaurant/bar Not the staffs fault- badly understaffed (3 staff out the front between the bar and restaurant) and could not cope with the volume of people and orders. Dinner book at 6:45pm. Sat for 25 minutes before our food and drink order to be taken (staff apologised for the wait). Certain items were not on the menu as they had ran out but weren’t made aware until either ordering or after ordering. That was long gaps in between food and staff where to busy to check to see if food was ok and take more drink orders because they were rushed off their feet. We booked the meal deal otherwise we wouldn’t have been considered hanging about waiting. However if you’re happy to wait the time then the food was good with big portions for the price.! Breakfast was self service plenty to choose from and more staff on everything ran smoothly and no long waits.

Fantastic set up for us to stay with our daughter who has complex physical disabilities. Adjoining carer's room downstairs, with bed up against the wall and on elephant feet so we could use our mobile hoist, and accessible wet room. All staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Great night's sleep every night as rooms are so dark and quiet and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Great location.

First rate stay at the Premier Inn, Pickering. Everything was spot on as always. I couldn’t find fault with my recent stay. I’ve stayed before on several occasions and it never disappoints. Good value for money.

Arrived just after 3pm to scenes of chaos. The 2 machines to book you in weren't working and the lad behind the desk seemed stressed . This compounded with the two young female workers ( One blonde one with blonde and green hair)not helping but finding it all amusing and sniggering didn't help. This in future can be sorted quickly by allocating their wages to the lad doing all the work. Eventually checked in and got to our premier plus room to find it half cleaned. After dusting around the table and coffee machine we settled in. To be fair the bathroom was clean and we weren't expecting the Ritz but the dust certainly hadn't amassed overnight (Wiped with my coat sleeve see photos) This is the first time with Premier inn we have ever encountered any issues. The young blonde girl either needs retraining or removing from her position as "Theres nothing I can do but go back in the office" laughing whilst queuing customers didn't appreciate her couldn't care less attitude.
