Stayed here on a visit from NZ with our 10 year old granddaughter. A warm welcome awaited us from Sarah and Chris. Our room was spacious, immaculate and other facilities really great. Breakfasts were of high quality and generous. Pickering is a lovely place to stay as other reviewers have commented. We really enjoyed ourselves at The Pear Tree and...

The Pear Tree was a great place to stay for a weekend break, and Chris and Sarah made us, and our boisterous dog Riley, feel very welcome. They even lent us a parking pass for Dalby forest, so we could enjoy the area better. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice & the rooms were well decorated & spotlessly...

By comparison to our stay in Bath, the Pear Tree was heavenly. A car park with plenty of room for all guest's vehicles (is this a first?) a room with the sounds of the North Yorks Moors railway (very big grin!) - and the view of a back garden and the rooftops of Pickering - not unpleasant. The Garden Room...

This must be my 5th visit to Pear Tree House, and the standard is as high as ever. Always a warm welcome from Chris and Sarah, and a most delicious breakfast with real attention to detail. Sarah even remembered my breakfast order from last year! The rooms are immaculately kept - clean and fresh. Great WIFI, a peaceful night's sleep...

This was a return visit with friends to Pear Tree House. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night in the Gable Room. Lovely accommodation, beautiful breakfasts and Chris and Sarah are excellent hosts. Within easy reach of the town centre.

The Gable room was very comfortable for our two night's stay. It was clean and well-equipped, and tea, coffee and biscuits were regularly replenished. Our hosts were very accommodating about when they would clean our room. They normally like the room to be empty for a few hours in the middle of the day for cleaning, but they knew we...

We stayed here because we couldn't find accommodation in Whitby, and I'm so glad about that! Chris & Sarah were just lovely and their place is immaculate and comfortable. En-suite was outside the room but that didn't matter because we had a wash-basin in the room and big fluffy robes were provided for the trip across the hall. Off-street parking,...

My wife and I travelled for the first time to Pickering, a village I picked due to it's location relevant to nearby Flamingo Land and steam train excursions to Whitby. After reading the most excellent reviews of the Pear Tree guest house on Trip Advisor I duly booked up for 4 days bed and breakfast. The first thing you notice...
