Just got back from an overnight stay at Vivers. We received a very friendly warm greeting and tour of the facilities from Mike. Room was in keeping with the period of the building and was clean and very comfortable. The sheets were lovely to sleep on and the mattress was really comfy. We had several high quality towels provided in... More

This is a great wee place to stay, comfortable, clean and welcoming and its a short (enjoyable) walk into the quaint town of Pickering, where there are plenty of places to eat and drink surrounded by many places of historical interest. We stayed for two nights in this restored mill, were made to feel very welcome, and enjoyed a nice... More

Pickering is a great base for the North Yorks Moors and Vivers Mill is a super place to stay, with a restored water wheel- just ask Mike and he will give it a spin for you. Its nice and quiet in the evenings, the breakfasts are first class and just a short walk into the town with all its attractions.... More

I had a two night stay at the Vivers Mill B & B which is a converted flour mill located about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The mill still has some of the existing machinery within it and you can hear the water rushing beneath the accommodation. The location is very peaceful, room comfortable and owner... More

Myself and three friends had been out walking and came to the hotel later than expected and completely exhausted to find that there were no rooms available for us even though I had an emailed confirmation from the hotel - not the professionalism one would expect - double booking- we were offered that they would try and find us somewhere... I have been visiting Vivers Mill for the last twenty years. It was a favourite of mine for family holidays as a child and now I continue to visit with my husband. It is a beautiful building, very different and unique. This time we stayed in room number 8 which has been my favourite room so far. The bed was... More

Maybe My wife and I are hard to please but we were not as impressed with this B&B as other reviewers have written. Yes, the price (£38pppn) was good, the breakfast excellent, beds comfortable and the location, as others said, was a 10 minute walk from the town centre. We did get the last room available at fairly (1 week)... More

We stayed here on a walking weekend in the NY Moors. This really is a converted mill, with much of the original machinery still in place and working. The rooms were a good size and well appointed and the location, about 10 mins walk away from the centre is a pleasant stroll (if it isn't raining!). You need a good... More
