The lady on reception was friendly and efficient. We paid just over #210 for a sea view room and breakfast. On the first floor, the room was small. Curtains appeared cheap and ill fitting The balcony was accessed by a small door. It was small and unappealing. Our view was of the sea and the roof of the floor below....

Just spent three days at the Midland having a very pleasant time in a room looking out at the beautiful Morecambe Bay with its ever changing combination of sea and sky. Elegant art deco with 21st century amenities and comforts. Can't really say the rooms are value for money but everyone deserves a little extravagance now and then. Food and cocktails some of the best. Nice to step out of the real world once in a while

Vaguely interested in art deco and the Poirot thing. Found the midland and booked a two night stay. Pushed the boat out and had a deluxe roof top room. Honestly it was magnificent.
