As we drove down to the Sea Front I had a feeling of dread, the street looked tired, shabby & somewhat derelict and to the Left (West) it looked a lot the same but we turned right into the Hotel Car Park, which is free. The Hotel itself has been a Grand place and may be a bit dog earred...

If you are looking for a hotel where the facilities are comfortable, the catering excellent, the atmosphere relaxing, and last but not least, very friendly and attentive staff then you'll find all this at The Clarendon. From the moment I walked through the door until the moment of my departure I was made to feel welcome and important. The room...

A comfortable hotel situated in a sad looking seafront location. Had a back room with no sea view. Comfortable short stay. TV & phone in room, great shower, staff very helpful, good food and fair prices. Really sad its in a run down looking area. Would definitely recommend a room with sea view though. Arrived late, no pick of fish...

We contacted the hotel direct after seeing a Travelzoo offer, the manager offered us the same deal, £60 single room BnB. The hotel was easy to find and car parking was readily available. We were made very welcome and able to access our rooms earlier than expected. The rooms were a reasonable size, clean and warm and the bathrooms were...

We have just returned from spending four nights at the Clarendon, two on Travelzoo offer. The value for money is exceptional. We had a seaview room which was quite spacious and clean. The breakfasts are excellent and we have stayed in four star hotels where the choice and quality was not as good. The staff are very pleasant and helpful....

When we pulled up at the Clarendon I had a sinking feeling in my stomach as the hotel does not look its best from the outside. However, when we went through the door it was a very pleasant surprise as the hotel inside was really nice and we were greeted with a smile by the helpful pleasant lady at reception....

We booked a sister Hotel in Carnforth thru booking.com - our booking did not get thru to the Hotel consequently when we arrived they were fully booked. The Manager in Carnforth contacted Jackie the Manager of The Clarendon who luckily had one room remaining. We drove the 7 miles to Morecambe and were greeted by Jackie who apologised profusely, on...

I stayed for one night en route from the Scottish highlands down to London. I paid £30 for a single room (no breakfast) through booking.com as a last minute deal. Regular rate quoted was £60 p/n. The hotel location is excellent, being right on the promenade the view of the sandy beach from my room in the morning was nice....

Dear Guest, I am sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. We pride ourselves for providing great customer service and making sure our guests are happy. It is unfortunate that this wasn't brought to any of the managers' attention, otherwise we would have changed your room if we have availability. If you are back this way in the...
