Half decent beer (banks), drab and uninteresting snug, food ok but didn't match the menu and so we had to ask for the missing ingredients. A general atmosphere of disinterest from staff. Off season so maybe they up their game in the summer months?

Had a great time over two nights. Great views of the sea from a lovely modern room. It rained but it adds to the effect when you are in a lovely location. Good breakfast and nice staff. I have great memories of Dovey and the memories will continue on the same route. Thanks to all.

We stayed 11/12th Oct. Comfy bed with fantastic view over the Estuary. Modern bathroom and clean cosy bedroom. Tasty, plentiful breakfast. Warm and friendly atmosphere . Will recommend and stay again . Recommend the Sea view room . Thanks . Corinne and John

This is an old building, with bedrooms up two flights of stairs and nowhere to put a lift. If not for that, and a couple of other minor points, I would have given it five stars. There are only three bedrooms; ours had lovely sideways views of the sea from the main room and the bathroom. Beds were very comfortable,...

an excellent pub with a nice atmosphere and good quality good value food can get very busy during the summer but well worth a visit for a nice drink or a snack with amazing seaviews from the terrace. This is the sort of pub you can sit in and enjoy a calm and pleasant atmosphere.

We stayed in room 2 which was very nice indeed. Clean and modern with very good facilities. Quirky room and bathroom with plenty of character and a side sea view. Would give it full marks if just rated on the room. However....the bar was grotty and not very welcoming. Lipstick on my wine glass...uch a fi! The stair carpet up...

Brit ale was flat, when challenged was told the 'widget' was taken off the end of the beer tap as to preserve the stocks of remaining beer, not great. Plus point - food was good and can't beat the view. Just a shame the beer we had to drink was flat.

We ate in this restaurant last night and the food was appalling. The starters were the worst of we have ever had in any restaurant. Poor value for money and substandard meals. I have never before been served bread and margerine with a prawn cocktail. This restaurant is a foodies nightmare definitely will not return.

Very easy to find on the front overlooking the river Dovey. I was lucky and found a parking spot right outside the Britannia Inn, there is also a car park close by. As it only has 3 bedroom check in was extremely easy! The room was warm and very well furnished, looks like it had all been recently up dated...
