#1 of 3 hotels in Aberdyfi (Aberdovey)
Travellers' Choice
The hotel is perfectly-positioned between the Snowdonian mountains and the Cambrian coast, just outside the pretty seaside village of Aberdovey (Aberdyfi in traditional Welsh). With panoramic sea views, the Trefeddian Hotel's accommodation is the perfect place to enjoy crisp mornings and sun speckled afternoons. Each of our 59 hotel bedrooms and three self-catering units are well equipped with all the modern comforts you need to feel right at home. We have a range of sea view and hill view bedrooms, with a lift to all floors. Quietly charming and traditional, the Trefeddian Hotel has been passed down the generations of the Cave-Browne-Cave family who firmly believe in 'good old-fashioned hospitality'. Nothing is too much trouble, just let us know any special requirements, we will do our very best to meet them. Being an award winning family friendly hotel, the Trefeddian is the ideal place for a family holiday in Wales, there is just so much to do, rain or shine!

Had another superb faultless short break here. From the moment we arrived we were treated like friends, the staff were second to none. A big hats off to Micheal our waiter throughout. The food quality and choice is amazing, we could no wait for the menu to be published each day. Although we have not stayed here for maybe 5 years the standards have been maintained. I look forward to our next visit.

Hotel's Favourite
We immediately had a warm feeling as we approached the reception desk, being welcomed with the most pleasant efficiency. This was no flash in the pan, at every level the hotel staff were invariably friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was well furnished, and the lounges and bar are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner selections were excellent. The location of the hotel is a great asset, overlooking the golf course and beach. The sandy beach is reachable by a footpath, but getting across the dunes requires a reasonable level of fitness (though not beyond these octogenerians). The hotel itself offers good leisure facilities, including a pleasant little pitch and put course, a good indoor swimming pool and well equipped games rooms both for adults and, separately, for children. All in all an excellent hotel, fully deserving the accolades it receives. This was our first visit, it will certainly not be the last.

Very disappointed with 'Customer Service' from the Reception Team at The Trefiddian Hotel last week. We were promised that my husband's electric razor (which he uses daily), plus a few other items, which he left in a bedside drawer, would be posted to us last Friday 19th November. When they hadn't arrived by today, ( Thursday 25th) I phoned the Trefiddian only to be told that the items were still in the lost property box ! ! ! So much for their claim " Assuring You Of Our Personal Attention". Come on Trefiddian ----- a 4**** Hotel should do better than this !!!

My first time at this hotel is full of praise - excellent staff service and attention to detail and the evening meals are 'to die for'!! Very well presented and a wide choice - something for everyone. Superb views. I certainly hope to be visiting again in the New Year.

We have just enjoyed a lovely break at the Trefeddian, taking advantage of the late season special package. This was our first visit for a while and as usual the staff could not have done more. The service in the dining room is particularly impressive. There is an amazing choice of food for the 5 course evening meals, with something to suit all tastes. The hotel is kept spotlessly-clean and the public areas have had their usual periodic makeover. The dark theme to the dining room was handy for showing off the Kyffin Williams-inspired paintings, an artist close to our hearts. The bedrooms tend to be practical in furnishings but after all this is a seaside hotel, catering for those outdoor activities if so desired. The team continues to do a wonderful job, even in these challenging times. Thank you.
