Just back from a 5 night stay at the New Inn Hotel Ellon. What a fabulous time me and the wife had. Our room was large and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant were always welcoming and the choice of food and drinks was great. Dinner was always cooked to order and the meals were great, especially the mixed grill. Breakfast was also delicious. My wife loved the full Scottish, my choice was always the Scottish Fix. Toast, black pudding, smoked haddock, poached egg and parsley sauce. Great way to start the day. The lady who supervises breakfast, Karen, is a lovely lady who really makes you feel welcome and always has a welcoming smile. If you are ever looking to spend some time north of Aberdeen you would be hard pushed to find a better hotel. Brynn and Pam ----- Stafford.

We had a lovely lunch after playing a game of netball match. Plenty of choice on the menu to suit all the team. Staff were very friendly and helpful right from making the booking. Would certainly recommend this restaurant and will be back

Stayed 3 nights to attend grandsons graduation, comfy bed, walk in shower all very clean and comfortable; breakfast very good and good selection of drinks in the bar, and the staff are amazing, very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Would recommend to anyone staying in Ellon 😊

We had a two night stay here to attend a friend’s birthday party. We were made extremely welcome on arrival and were asked to check if our room was ok as it overlooked the outside seating area, but it was ok - A lovely, spacious room and large bathroom. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and our meals were lovely and the staff were great. We enjoyed two breakfasts, smoked haddock and black pudding on the first morning and full breakfast on the second - both were excellent. Our friend’s party on the Saturday evening was amazing and everyone loved the Stovies! It’s in a great location - we visited Dunnottar Castle and nearby Stonehaven and we’ll certainly be back to explore more. A lovely stay and great value for money.

This is great hotel in Ellon. The rooms and hotel are very clean and tidy. There is a nice bar which is popular with the locals. Everyone in the hotel was really friendly. The restaurant is really nice although we only had breakfast. This place is perfectly located for Brewdog which is a short taxi ride or a reasonable walk! Would definitely recommend staying here as a base for touring the area as there are plenty of places to visit nearby.

The hotel is very nice - friendly receptionist and comfortable room. The restaurant had a great atmosphere - the food was really good and really friendly waitresses. I had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning - you pre order the night before from a great selection.

I’ve now stayed at this hotel twice in the last few months when working in the area. This hotel is great and very reasonable. Located centrally in Ellon opposite the river. Nice bar area with a good selection of draught beers. Comfortable double bed in a cosy room. Great full breakfast in the morning. Will be staying again for sure.

Whilst out for a day with my daughter and granddaughter we decided to have some lunch at the New Inn in Ellon. My granddaughter was 2 months old and in her buggy, and the staff were kind enough to give us a table with a little extra room to accommodate the buggy. I'm gluten and egg intolerant so sometimes have an issue with lack of choices on a menu. This was definitely not the case in the New Inn. Gluten-free choice was excellent and about 75% of menu could be made Gluten-free! Also the portions and flavours were great too! All in all, it was a lovely lunchtime experience for the three of us! Thanks to the staff for making it so, you're a credit to the hotel!

Lovely stay for two nights in the New Inn, Ellon. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, warm, and beds are super comfy. There is a friendly and welcoming bar showing live sports etc, and a very popular restaurant, the CornKist, which serves generous portions of an eclectic menu. Breakfast options are many and again the food is really good. All staff are friendly, helpful and there is obviously a good staff team all round. Highly recommended.

Wish I could have stayed longer to explore . Made to feel welcome straight away. Quick check inn . Room was very clean and fresh . Had evening meal in the bar , could have gone into restaurant side . Had the haddock in lemon butter , really tasty . The breakfast was good and freshly cooked to order ( had to pre order night before as not many staying ) didn't mind . Car park through a barrier which was good . Went for a quick walk along river , will try to arrive a bit earlier to see more next time . Only really minus was the shower wasn't very powerful , but was still OK.
