Thank you so much, the owners could not have been more helpful, even sorted out extra beds due to a family member being stuck with no accommodation. The rooms were clean tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. Highly Recommended and for the money outstanding.
We opted for a family room which had a king sized bed, a single bed and a cot for our baby. The room and bathroom were large and prettily decorated. The breakfast was great, lots of options to choose from and served in a sunny room. We didn't go for the full English (but it was offered), however the eggs we had were cooked perfectly. The owners helped distract our rowdy boys with some toys so that Mummy and Daddy could finish eating in peace. The best thing about Holly Tree Farm are the owners, Dawn and her Farmer husband. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave us a lot of assistance, especially when I accidentally locked my car key in our car! They really helped us out. Following breakfast Dawn gave us a walking tour of the farm which the kids really enjoyed.
We booked the family room for a couple of nights while in the area for a family wedding. What a find! It was perfect for us. The room was comfortable and spacious with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Dawn was so helpful. We really couldn’t have asked for more. It would be lovely to return to explore the area when we have a little more time.
Just been working at the Bluedot festival and my position was at their farm. Always made sure we had a cup of tea in our hand and they made sure we stayed dry. Really lovely, caring people who really looked after us. Their farm is gorgeous too and so well maintained, really beautiful. Thank you once again!
We were using the farm as an on route stop over. The large room had everything we required, the large double bed was very comfortable after a long drive. We are breakfast people and the freshly cooked farmhouse breakfast satisfied us for the rest of the day. The eggs are amazing, so fresh; the chickens were pecking around the garden. We had to buy some to take home; eggs not chickens!
Warm welcome. B&b rooms are a short walk separate from farm house. Breakfast served in farmhouse. Very good quality breakfast. Our room was spacious, plenty of storage space. Bedroom and bathroom spotlessly clean. Very good value for money.
Lovely B&B close to Jodrell Bank. Accommodation is joined to the farmhouse by a short path. Very comfortable with lovely views from the window. Breakfast was very good and Dawn & David the owners were very welcoming. Highly recommend this B&B.
A lovely b&b in a farm setting. The accommodation is separate from the farmhouse and breakfast is served over in the farmhouse. It had a very homely feel and everything you needed. Our room was extremely spacious. We arrived back after midnight and this wasn't a problem. Breakfast was delicious! A proper good quality full English breakfast. Cereal/fruit etc was available. I would highly recommend staying here
Really nice, great comfortable room and great breakfast. Going as a cyclist i was asked why cyclists' don't pay road tax: simple really - the roads are paid for in general taxation which we all pay (whether we drive or not and it's more accurately called vehicle excise duty and is based on emissions. Lovely place. Hope more cyclists go there and can convince the owner as to the merit of cycling. We are as much of a nuisance as turning the clocks back (for the farmers)
Needing affordable accommodation for work purposes in the area I chose Holly Tree Farm almost at random, putting proximity above anything else. What a lucky choice - I booked four blocks of weekdays and I'm still in my first week but I'm so impressed with David & Dawn's friendly, caring and flexible approach that I'm prompted to review them long before I finally check out. Don't expect the frills of a hotel but do appreciate their B&B house which is clean, comfortable and has all the bits and bobs to make your stay enjoyable. Dawn's breakfasts are gorgeous, with golden-yolked eggs fresh from their own chickens, tasty locally-sourced bacon and sausages, local preserves and plenty of tea and toast. My room this week is lovely and well-appointed with all the usual bits, a nice tea-tray and a dinky little fridge if you want fresh milk for your night-time cuppa! While the farm is on an A road, the double-glazed windows do keep any noise down to a very acceptable level and in any case it's not the most busy of roads. Can't wait for next week and the two others later in the month! If you want to visit the Jodrell Bank radio telescope it's practically in the back garden! While not part of my experience I understand that Dawn & David are more than happy to allow young children to enjoy the experience of close contact with their animals on their fully working farm.…
