Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Hospitality was great and the cottage had everything we need. We stayed for 9 days together with our labrador. We played golf on 3 different courses (dogs allowed to walk with you), walked part of the Macclesfield and Trent and Mercy Canals, visit Buxton and Bugsworth, did a walk at he Anderton boat lift and visit Lyme Park. But most of all we loved the walk (dog friendly) up the hills straight next to the cottage. Ideal for dog owners. Marjo Remco and Arko

Lovely cottage. Very clean, very well equipped. Owners were very helpful when we needed them. Cannot fault. Welcome pack was very welcome especially scones. Hope to be back very soon. Also in ideal situation, plenty of places to visit within easy distance.

Stayed in The Hayloft for a week. Chosen for 3 bedrooms, all en-suite + extra WC. Lovely rural location, if a little breezy at this time of year. Extremely well appointed cottage, though. All on one level, except for the few stairs down to one bedroom. Not much in the way of home comforts has been missed. Loads of storage for everything you'd be bringing. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware and even a butter dish! Lovely Welcome Basket - much appreciated. The inventory is extensive. However, on one of the websites I used, it mentioned a 42" TV and sky TV in the living room (see photo) . It's a 32" TV and no sky! Not the end of the world for us, but might be for others. It also said large screen TVs in the bedrooms, which is an exaggeration, but again, not a game changer. Although the lack of channels was annoying ( many saying 'NO SIGNAL'). The owners were friendly and helpful, which is a definite plus point. The slippers provided were very useful on the tiled floors in the bathrooms, but, personally speaking I'd have liked a bath sheet instead of a bath towel. There are some wonderful toiletries provided, along with all the necessary bits and pieces to clean up in the kitchen, and wash dishes and clothes. If you are going to be eating in, a couple of flat baking trays might be useful, and maybe a whisk - but that's being picky. Looking at Street view on Google maps before travelling would help. Lidgetts Lane in Rainow didn't have a sign that we saw. It's very narrow and climbs quite steeply at the start, with a blind bend. All of us had the printed directions, but took 2 attempts to locate the cottages! All the little niggles aside, we'd stay again without a second thought. It really is a beautiful place.…

We stayed at the Coach House and had an excellent time. Good base to explore the Peak District from, with excellent walks within 30 mins drive. The cottage was well appointed, large and spacious and very comfortable. The welcome pack, particularly the scones and homemade jam, was very much appreciated. Ivor was very helpful, particularly in resolving an issue we had with one of the EV chargers.

Our stay at the Hayloft was great and the accommodation in this cosy but spacious cottage is excellent. Two of our party have mobility issues so it was perfect with the cottage being on one floor with easy access by wheelchair from the car parking area. The wheelchair user had a large bedroom and wet room; note that one of the other bathrooms does have one step to reach the shower/toilet. All rooms were well equipped, very clean and the kitchen was very high spec with a lovely dining area. A welcome pack that included scones and home made jam was well received. Highly recommended!

The Hayloft is a lovely 3 bedroom cottage with excellent facilities. The owners really have thought of everything. We made use of the EV charger on our drive and there is outside seating and a washing line which was useful. There is also a charcoal bbq so pack some supplies if you wish to use it. There are fabulous walks right on the doorstep and within 20 minutes driving. Tesco at Macclesfield is very convenient. The walk into Bollington is lovely and there is a cafe on the canal there which does lovely coffee and cakes. The cottage is excellently located and very comfortable. We will be back soon.

We had a fabulous week. Not only was the cottage perfect for my husband who uses a wheelchair full time but also comfortable for the rest of the family. It is cosy and in beautiful surroundings. So many times "accessible " means clinical and not homely but we loved how beautifully furnished the cottage is.

We had very special needs as we wanted to charge our Electric car, and my elderly husband has mobility problems. This stables is level with access through a wide stable type door, plenty of room to go about with a walker, and a huge bathroom very well appointed (but note: there are no grab rails in the bathroom) Everything is well equipped, including lots of bedding choices! Car parking is right by the door, and the 7 KW car charger is right there too! And no tiresome phone apps to access for charging. Lyn and Ivor are really lovely, helpful, hospitable people, at hand and ready to help with any problems. We went in a heatwave, and it was lovely and cool inside because of the thick stone walls. We would go again.

Very clear directions to the cottages. We managed to get into the cottage before the stated time and found the cottage as stated in the brochure. Whilst it looked very clean we did find quite a lot of cobwebs which might indicate that it hadn't been occupied for a few weeks. However, the cottage was equipped to a high standard and very comfortable.

The Stables is a well kept, extremely clean, cozy cottage with great access to miles of walks in the Peak District. The cottage is in a very quiet location but very accessible to Macclesfield, Buxton and Manchester airport for shopping, dining and travel needs. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely stay here again!
