Detailed Reviews
We stayed overnight for a party in Mottram Village Hall. It was a 15 minute walk to the venue.
Dillys was in touch beforehand to send a welcome message. The farm is easy to find just outside the village. We were welcomed into the guest lounge which was warmed by a real fire and very cosy. Our ensuite room was tastefully decorated in coffee tones and the bed was very comfortable. The linens and pillows made for a good night's sleep. It was very quiet and we saw a sky full of stars on our walk home from the party.
Breakfast was delicious, just what we needed to set us up for the day. It was raining and we had left our car at the village hall. Dillys offered us a lift to pick it up. This was so generous of her and it is touches like this that make Goose Green B&B a real home stay experience. We will definitely stay here again.

A most enjoyable stay. Dillys was such a delightful host, keen to ensure you had everything you needed. Great breakfast. Beautiful location. To top it all, Goose Green Farm has an EV charger which takes advantage of a low cost overnight tariff.

Goose Green Farm is a family run working farm that has diversified in order to stay in business. They have some lovely cattle, horse livery and beautiful fishing lakes set in a picturesque village. There is an excellent pub nearby serving a good selection of food . Dyllis is the host, a delightful friendly lady that truly makes guests feel at home and even allowed me to wander as I pleased around the farm to take some pictures.

After many months I was able to return to a refurbished Goose Green Farm with Dyliss firmly at the helm.
You will get a great welcome here with lots of attention to personal detail.
5* breakfast 👍 and some great countryside with panoramic views and places of local interest to explore. Good cycle routes and it's about 40 minutes walk to the station. Read Alan Garner's "The Weird stone of Brisingamen/The Moon of Gomrath/Vineland" before you go. You can go underground into the copper mines with Derbyshire Caving Club if you wish.

Goose Green is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. I really enjoyed my stay, Dyllis was kind and welcoming. I spent a relaxing evening sitting in front of a beautiful log fire. The lights of Manchester Airport were twinkling a little way away across the fields - but Goose Green is NOT in the flight path. Fabulous white cotton bed linen and a delicious breakfast. I will definitely return.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Goose Green Farm is a lovely farmhouse b&b. Owner and host Dyllis was so welcoming, hospitable and helpful. We stayed for one night in the double room, a cosy room overlooking the fields at the back of the house. Perfect to sit in bed with a cup of tea and enjoy the views! Downstairs we indulged our 'escape to the country' fantasies further, relaxing in the traditionally furnished lounge with its open log fireplace. We arrived and left on foot and Dyllis' excellent cooked breakfast set us up well for a day of walking. I thoroughly recommend Goose Green Farm, it's ideal to 'get away from it all' for the weekend.

My wife and I have recently returned from a lovely few days at this b&b. We were given a warm welcome by Dyllis complete with tea and cake. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were scrumptious. Goose Green Farm is ideally situated with a number of NT properties within a short car journey. There is also a very good pub / restaurant about four minutes drive away.

Great stay. We were really well looked after even though we only stayed for the one night as we were visiting friends. Will definitely recommend it to all our friends next time they’re in the area. 10/10. Dylis is a great host and has plenty of knowledge of the local area too.

Just returned from a brilliant stay at Goose Green Farm! We stayed two nights for a friends wedding in the area, and had a wonderful stay at Dyllis’ B&B! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and the home-cooked breakfast was outstanding! We were made to feel very at home and Dyllis was incredibly helpful with all aspects of our stay! Would 100% return to this wonderful home!
