Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Several of us stayed for a nearby family wedding. Couldn’t have worked out any better. Dyllis is an amazing host - so welcoming including with tea and cake in the guest lounge and her fabulous breakfasts. It all enhanced the family feeling with us coming together for this stay. My sister-in-law from California loved the whole farm experience, as did we all in fact. Lovely entertaining and interesting chats with Dyllis even left us feeling inspired - all on top of the wave of family wedding happiness. Thank you.

A most enjoyable stay. Dillys was such a delightful host, keen to ensure you had everything you needed. Great breakfast. Beautiful location. To top it all, Goose Green Farm has an EV charger which takes advantage of a low cost overnight tariff.

My wife and I have recently returned from a lovely few days at this b&b. We were given a warm welcome by Dyllis complete with tea and cake. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were scrumptious. Goose Green Farm is ideally situated with a number of NT properties within a short car journey. There is also a very good pub / restaurant about four minutes drive away.

Goose Green Farm is a lovely farmhouse b&b. Owner and host Dyllis was so welcoming, hospitable and helpful. We stayed for one night in the double room, a cosy room overlooking the fields at the back of the house. Perfect to sit in bed with a cup of tea and enjoy the views! Downstairs we indulged our 'escape to the country' fantasies further, relaxing in the traditionally furnished lounge with its open log fireplace. We arrived and left on foot and Dyllis' excellent cooked breakfast set us up well for a day of walking. I thoroughly recommend Goose Green Farm, it's ideal to 'get away from it all' for the weekend.

Goose Green is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. I really enjoyed my stay, Dyllis was kind and welcoming. I spent a relaxing evening sitting in front of a beautiful log fire. The lights of Manchester Airport were twinkling a little way away across the fields - but Goose Green is NOT in the flight path. Fabulous white cotton bed linen and a delicious breakfast. I will definitely return. Thank you.

We stayed overnight for a party in Mottram Village Hall. It was a 15 minute walk to the venue. Dillys was in touch beforehand to send a welcome message. The farm is easy to find just outside the village. We were welcomed into the guest lounge which was warmed by a real fire and very cosy. Our ensuite room was tastefully decorated in coffee tones and the bed was very comfortable. The linens and pillows made for a good night's sleep. It was very quiet and we saw a sky full of stars on our walk home from the party. Breakfast was delicious, just what we needed to set us up for the day. It was raining and we had left our car at the village hall. Dillys offered us a lift to pick it up. This was so generous of her and it is touches like this that make Goose Green B&B a real home stay experience. We will definitely stay here again.

After many months I was able to return to a refurbished Goose Green Farm with Dyliss firmly at the helm. You will get a great welcome here with lots of attention to personal detail. 5* breakfast 👍 and some great countryside with panoramic views and places of local interest to explore. Good cycle routes and it's about 40 minutes walk to the station. Read Alan Garner's "The Weird stone of Brisingamen/The Moon of Gomrath/Vineland" before you go. You can go underground into the copper mines with Derbyshire Caving Club if you wish.

Would highly recommend Goose Green Farm for a stay. Just spent the best part of 6 weeks there whilst working in the area. En-suite room nice and clean. Beds are comfy. Dyllis is a lovely lady and cooks a great hearty breakfast. Will miss having our little chats. Would defiantly stay again if ever in the area.

Dyllis and Don, you made our wedding extra perfect. My husband and I booked to stay here the night of our wedding (August), and it was perfect in every way. The bed and breakfast has a quaint old feeling that makes you feel like home. Nothing was too much trouble as host both Dyllis and Don went out of their way to give you the best experience. To make it even more special we could even have our wedding photos taken in the beautiful gardens (Dyllis even cut the grass, which she did not have too) again nothing was too much. For this my husband and I will be truly grateful as it made our wedding more perfect. Thank you Dyllis and John.
