I booked at the last minute and it was easy to find. On arrival I was greeted warmly and informed I had room 13. I asked if they had a room at the back as I'm a poor sleeper and it's on a busy road. There was no issue with changing my room and they upgraded me to a double... More

We booked in for one night.mhotel owner not there to meet us. We picked up key from outside. Room was disgraceful. Filthy dirty rusting old fashioned cistern soap dish rusty falling from wall. Floor falling away from skirting board leaving a two inch gap. No wash hand basin in toilet,/ shower room. A small bar of soap left on the... More

very dated room, dated decor and old-style furniture, mattress was the worst thing so I had a terrible nights sleep, aswell as the road noise being an added distraction. Parking was very limited. Breakfast was average. Few redeeming features - so my advice, don't bother.

Lovely little bed and breakfast hotel, clean and comfortable with very friendly owners. Full of character and only five minutes walk from the town centre. Free car parking at rear of hotel. Good tasty breakfast, with cereals, juice, fruit, toast, tea/coffee and Full English.

Was told l didn't need to reserve parking, but on arrival said that there wasn't any space, and had to find somewhere to park all the little roads around were packed, not any good for a larger car. And had to park two streets away, there were lots of stairs and one toilet if you didn't have on suite. You... More

Marjorie and Terry are lovely, friendly hosts. The property is clean and comfortable. Our room was small with a small wardrobe (one coat hanger wide) with 3 coat hangers, there was one bedside cabinet with a drawer and a shelf. Anyone staying for more than 2 nights would struggle for storage space. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.... More

Room was clean and basic, had a tv, kettle and necessary bits. Bed was comfy. I arrived late in the evening so let myself in and found the room ok. Bathroom was clean but very dated and tired. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the person above me walking around and going for a pee thru the... More

My partner and I stayed here on the 11th May after taking someone to the airport. We arrived about 3p.m. and parked around the back in their small carpark. I went to a ground floor door and rang the bell & were met by a lady. She immediately told us we had to climb the very steep 19 stone steps(with... More

Stayed at Chadwick house for one night. Booked direct with hotel as wanted room with bath, and to let them know I would be arriving late (10.00pm). I had been quoted £49.00 for single, but bath was in double at £59.00, which I chose. On arrival I was given room key and wi - fi code and off I went.... More

Clean, friendly & quiet. Lovely breakfast - poached eggs were perfect. Small parking area available at the back and the room was warm and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and plenty of sockets for chargers. One point though - bath rather than a shower in our room. Not a problem but worth a mention for reference... More
