Just had to call before lockdown. The lamb hotpot with red cabbage and home made bread looked very tempting, and it didnt dissapoint. Once again superb food and well worth the treck to the lovely located pub
Thank you for being so lovely when we arrived (due to road closures) half an hour late. The food was delicious and the lady who served us was so welcoming. Put a good review on many years ago and pleased to say you are still as good! Will return soon. Thanks again.
With magnificent views this pub was perfect after a long walk around the reservoirs in Macclesfield Forest. We went in for a drink but stayed for a fabulous roast beef lunch. Great ingredients, massive portions and good value at £14.95. Staff were great and particularly the landlady who was extremely kind and welcoming. Very cosy with log fires, just what you hope a country pub to be. We will go back during our week’s stay in the area. PS there is a large garden at the rear to be enjoyed in warmer weather.
We came here for a roast dinner with some family and sat in the back room, the pub is in a great setting and the food was excellent, the only gripe is the service and food is slow, we waited over an hour for 4 roast dinners, once it arrived it was brilliant.
My daughter had her COVID-compliant wedding celebration at the Rose and Crown. The food was fantastic - the Longhorn beef was done to a tee. As the weather was good we could use the beer garden which has sweeping views across the Peak and the Cheshire plain. Thanks to Luda, Ian and team for a fabulous and memorable day. And the gents must have one of the best views ever!
