I got married at Heaton House Farm in May 2019, and honestly I can't describe how magical it was!

We were all but decided that we were going to get married at the spot we got engaged (Chatsworth House), but we thought just to make sure we've at least considered something else, we'd just go and check HHF out.

From the minute we walked through the door we were blown away. Not only because the setting is gorgeous, but the staff were just amazing, and they talked us through every little detail of what was on offer. Margaret's love and passion for the place just shines through, and you're instantly sold. We rang the next day and reserved our booking!

The process was made so enjoyable, nothing was stressful at all. Our amazing wedding coordinator Jo was so on the ball, and she just knew what to do to make sure we had the most perfect day. Everything was made easy, from paying invoices to sending music over and decorating the venue.

Something else that sets this venue apart is that they won't want to charge you outrageous prices, they want to work with you and your budget to make sure you have everything you want. For example, they don't plonk bottles of wine on the tables that you have to pay for, even if people only have one glass. They serve the wine to your guests to make sure you aren't paying more than you need to. They really care about their couples, and don't want to rip them off.

I've got to mention Stableyard Catering as well. We were their first couple, as they were only just developing the service. And just wow. We had such a lovely personal experience, from tasting through to the day. Sarah, Alan and the team are brilliant, and the food is just gorgeous. They tailored a menu to fit everything we wanted, and we've had so many compliments since!

The whole HHF team helped us out so much. We had a really fiddly ivy hanging that we wanted behind the top table (which my partner and I almost didn't get married over haha!!), and their amazing Ops team just made it work as if it was no effort at all.

Another thing to mention is the amazing Bridal prep room. Its got gorgeous views out over the hills, a processo fridge, shower, beautiful make up mirrors, and just everything you need to feel like a total princess. I won't spoil it for any future brides, but if you're anything like me you'll love the secret door too!!

From start to finish, it was just the most amazing experience. You can just tell how proud and passionate all of the staff are, and how much they want you to have the best day of your life. And we definitely did.

Thank you so much Heaton House! We'll be back for our anniversary!!

Dear Victoria, Wow! What a phenomenal review! It's so incredible to read about your wedding planning experience with us from your original tour with Margaret where you fell in love with the venue, through to the day itself with Jo your Events coordinator, they're thrilled to read your lovely comments. Thank you for being such a huge part of the development of Stable Yard Catering; it's wonderful to hear you had such a great experience with them! It's so lovely to hear you had such a lovely morning getting ready in our Bridal Preparation Room - it's important for us that our brides have a lovely relaxing morning with their bridal party. We hope you liked the surprise! ;) We loved being a part of the best day of your lives and we hope to be a part of your future celebrations! Kind regards, Olivia

There are so many amazing words to describe heaton house farm! This is my second function and overnight stay,
starting at reception, the staff are so friendly and helpful, they showed me to my room, told me the story of the room, explained everything including the breakfast room, and function rooms, it really made me feel welcome.
The rooms are absolutely stunning! My stay was in the room “The Bull Pen” a beautifully crafted and finished room from what was the old bull pen, every detail in the room was taken care of, even the edges on the toilet roll were folded giving a crisp edge!!
The venue speaks for itself, it’s amazing!!! Well worth a look!!! Reasonably priced alcohol, good DJ which rounded off a superb night!!
Stable yard catering Did the evening meal and breakfast, the food was superb and the staff serving were brilliant, top food, quick, hot, tasty. What more can you want??
Overall heaton house farm is a credit to and certainly shows the drive, determination and attention to detail of Mick, Margaret and Sarah Heath 10/10!!!!!

Lovely wedding venue and gorgeous views. The day went well. The three course meal was excellent, bar drinks very good and the music in the evening got us all up dancing.

Disappointed with the timing of check in (2pm) and check out (10am). Wedding also at 2pm. MOB due to have hair done in the pamper room prior and also wanted to put her outfit on at the venue, but it was all too rushed with hair/changing into wedding clothes/getting our luggage into the room and being at the ceremony on time. I understand there is a tight turnaround time, but surely having all rooms ready one hour before the time of the ceremony should be standard, not an add on fee.

As parents of the bride, we managed to view most of the rooms of the other guests and it was obvious that we had been given one of the less desirable rooms, small and no view from a tiny window, though it was clean and immaculate. Yet we paid the same as the better rooms with views. I think the venue should charge a little less for a less desirable room.

Breakfast is served at 9am. If you need the full hour to eat your breakfast, you need to check out prior as you won't be able to access the room after breakfast. We saw there was a pot to collect keys in the restaurant - cleaning staff were in/out to collect the keys so that they can clean the rooms for the next guests. It felt very rushed like they want you out as soon as possible.

Breakfast was nice, buffet style, but took a while to queue and no fresh fruit salad left.

Thank you for your 4* ‘very good’ rating and review. Listening to guests’ feedback is the only way we can improve our service, so I appreciate your help with our improvements. It’s fabulous to hear that you enjoyed our incredible surround, and I hope you enjoyed planet of time to take in the 3 county views of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. If you ever get the opportunity to enjoy this area again, there are some fabulous walks. I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed every aspect of the day, from the meal, drinks, music, and of course breakfast the following morning! Our team work hard to ensure every detail is checked to ensure a perfect day, so they will be pleased to hear they exceed your expectation. With regards to the early check-in, industry standard is either 2/3pm due to the time it takes to turn the rooms around from the previous day, so I’m pleased that we can offer a 1pm early check-in should guests want to have the room an hour early then our most popular ceremony time. We also have another option which is made aware to you on booking, which is a changing room and luggage storage, should you not wish to book the early check-in. We do find many guests take us up on this option and check in after the ceremony so they can relax and enjoy the day. All our rooms are individually styled, with beams, or sandstone features, and not one of our team shared the same preference if you were to ask them what their favourite room is! Our rooms are charged for based on occupancy, and there are different options available on the website should you have wanted a larger room. Breakfast and check out and between 9am-10am. Therefore, it offers the flexibility should you want an early breakfast, you are able to check out afterwards, or alternately, if you want to enjoy a lie-in, you are able to check out and enjoy a leisurely breakfast and the restraint is open until 11am. The key basket is placed in the breakfast room for our guest’s convenience, instead of having to cross the courtyard, especially in our winter wind which we are experiencing at the moment. Again, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, and I do hope you will be back to enjoy another room and experience soon. Kind regards, Sarah

The setting and location of Heaton House Farm was lovely, with stunning views.
We were celebrating my daughters wedding, which went perfectly. Venue, staff, food all fantastic.
Only one small recommendation - as part of the bridal party it was lovely to have time to relax and get ready in the pamper room during the morning but just as we were all ready, makeup and hair done, in our dresses, we were asked to move all our things to the Bride and Groom Bedroom. This didn’t seem right that they should have to walk into their room after their special day to bags, suitcases, belonging to the bridal team. Maybe there could be another allocated location for items to be put if the pamper room was required for cleaning, it just didn’t seem right that bridesmaids should have been moving bags etc in their gowns.
That being said, the rest of the day was perfect, and this was made possible by the lovely staff, who made the day run smoothly.
With regards to check-in of the accommodation we thought it was going to be a little awkward between 2pm - 5pm, as the wedding was at 1.30pm but actually it was ok as there was plenty of time between the ceremony and reception. The room was lovely, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had a well needed comfy bed after a long, but wonderful, day.
Breakfast was superb and it finished the wedding celebrations off nicely.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We love to hear how the Bridal Party enjoy their time with us from start to finish! We are sorry to hear that you felt the process to leave the Pamper Room did not work on the day. In order for us to be able to offer the Pamper Room early in the morning (from 9am) for your daughters celebrations and for all weddings here at the venue, we do have to ask that it is cleared prior to the ceremony after it has been used for preparations, so that whilst our housekeeping team are still onsite, they can access the room during the ceremony to turn this around for the next days bridal party. We have however taken your points on board and we will work with our team to see if there is anything that can be done to make this process a little easier for our couples. We really do appreciate the feedback to allow us to ensure the most seamless experiences for all our guests and couples. We are delighted that you found the rest of the experience to be perfect! We are particularly pleased that you found our staff to be so helpful, we are incredibly proud of our team and love to hear that they helped to make your experience great! We hope that we are able to welcome you back to the venue for future celebrations! Kind Regards, Amy

We recently stayed at Heaton House Farm for 3 nights camping with my husband, daughter and dog. Prior to my arrival I received an email to check in to avoid unnecessary contact on arrival which turned out to be very smooth. We were allocated a pitch which was great and were given plot 1, right next to the cow field. The view was simply stunning, very picturesque with very friendly cows. As campers we had access to the sites toilets and showers which were very clean, very close with plenty of sanitizers available. Once dark there were lovely purple low lighting so you could still see where you where going. We booked EHU and an ext cable was provided for us which was really helpful, plus we booked in for breakfast for the Sunday morning. Wow the breakfast was amazing, the perfect full English, served to us very swiftly. The breakfast room was beautiful and again all covid rules were in places with spare table between guests. The site is small and very quiet but a great base to explore the area, we visited Tegg Nose country park and also Rudyard Lake during our stay which where both around 10-15 mins away in the car. Its been 10 years ago since we last visited Heaton House as we got married there and even 10 years on, I wouldn't change a thing. The staff are as amazing as they ever where, so welcoming and even let us have a nosy round the venue and take photos back at the famous tree! Thank you for a perfect 10 year anniversary break, we loved it and will be back again!

My Fiance and I booked one of Heaton's events which was a 3 course meal and a nights stay. We had an amazing time!
We were given the keys to the room called 'The Loft' the room was lovely and spacious and the views were beautiful! The room overlooked the private gardens where the bride and groom go on there wedding day and it was beautiful.
We had drinks out on the patio to start with and was served by a lovely charismatic guy called Jake, we went for a nice walk after and got ready for our meal,
There was face masks and hand sanitiser available for guests, and seating was kept at a distance.
The food was delicious! We had both Jake and Andi serving us, both members of staff were so lovely and couldnt have done more for us, they had a great sence of humor too!
The next day we ate a lovely cooked breakfast in the Stableyard restaurant, again this was covid safe and the staff ensures only one table got up at a time.
I contacted Heaton House after to comment on what a lovely stay we had and also to ask about the beautiful products they have in the shower room, they got back to me with a speedy response and answered my queries.
If you want a lovely night away this is the place to go :)

Perfect for a wedding stay. Staff were VERY accommodating in letting us have access to the rooms as soon as they had been cleaned so that we could get ready in them and drop off our luggage.

Rooms were clean and modern and had everything we needed.

As a wedding venue, the wedding organiser had everything in hand and helped to ensure the smooth running of the day, taking over so that the bride and groom and guests had nothing to worry about except for enjoying themselves.

Breakfast was delicious! It was one of the best buffet-style breakfasts I've had. Shortly after breakfast, the new bridal party arrived to set up the venue for that days wedding - but such is the nature of a successful wedding venue business.

Could not fault HHF at all.

This is a super location in fabulous countryside and wonderful views, the staff were very helpful and welcoming and food superb. The venue/meal felt really safe the tables were spread very far apart great facilities. The grass for Camping is kept short and the pitches have plenty of room, all facilities ie toilets, bins and water close by.

We recently came to Heaton House Farm for my little brothers wedding and we stayed in the Loft on the wedding night with our two daughters (3yo and 11mo)

The venue is beautiful, well kept and clean. The staff are really friendly and cant do enough for you. We had a wonderful day, the venue looked amazing, as part of the bridal party I used the bridal suite to get ready which is well thought out and so light and roomy. The catering staff were brilliant and were happy to make us a light lunch since we weren't having anything to eat until 3.30. We asked for a few sandwiches but we got freshly made wraps, pizzas, chips and cookies which were all delicious! They were great at accommodating dietary requirements for myself and my daughter who is allergic to dairy and soya. The wedding breakfast was amazing and I was able to actually have a pudding not just some fruit!

There was so much food for everyone and in the end at the evening there was so much food left because everyone was still full!

The rooms were so comfortable and homely with everything you could think of available and plenty of space for us as a family with wonderful views of the countryside around.

Breakfast was lovely with a great selection of food to help yourself to and again the staff were wonderful accommodating allergies- it's actually a stressful situation eating out with allergies but I really felt at ease throughout our stay so my daughter wouldn't be unwell after. We had cereal, toast, tea, juice and cooked breakfast to choose from and it was all lovely.

I would highly recommend this venue and accommodation and wish we could do the day all over again!

Thank you Heaton House farm and my brothers wedding coordinator Harriet!

Absolutely beautiful venue. The room was spotlessly clean and freshly decorated. Tea, coffee and water well stocked up. Bathroom was fab and both room and bathroom was set up for wheelchair access with bathing aids should they be needed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and a choice from full english, croissants, cereal and fresh fruit. Staff were fab, nothing was too much trouble and all very helpful and polite. Highly recommended !!
